Unfortunately, extremists would use innocent children to carry explosive, si I understand the TSA's need to check all passengers, no matter what age. As a parent, I don't like it, but it has to be done.
So I guess you guys don't believe that someone would simply hide a weapon on a child just as shop lifters will hide stolen items on their child? DON'T LIKE SECURITY THEN DONT FLY!
This is the exact reason why our family will not be flying until the regulations are changed. As adults we have the option to make our own decision about the scanners and pat downs, our children do not! After tell my kids time and time again, that only Mommy, Daddy & Dr. K touch them in "private" places, I will not subject them to a total stranger looking down their pants or touching their groin area!!! That is the one right I have managed to hold on to!!!
There are serious issues with a child being patted down when the head of security is considering allowing muslim women to pat themselves down because of their "belief". I don't fly so it doesn't apply to me or my family but I do agree with anon 11:21 the P.C. stuff is hindering the reality of what is happening. If I offend you so be it, but we all know the majority of threats to airline safety do not rest in the pants of a small American child.
I can't think of any time on American soil that an American child was used as a suicide bomber.
Now I hear on the news that they're telling women not to wear underwire bras because it will subject them to a full body pat down. I don't have a problem with the scanner but the only bras I own are underwire. This is rediculous!
Next thing you know, designers will be coming out with a line of "TSA Approved Clothes" for airline travel. Forget about comfort when you fly, you have to dress so you won't get felt up when you fly the now very friendly skies. I used to wear comfy jeans and sweatshirts and slipon shoes when I flied so I could get in and out of security without backing up the works, but now it seems as though those are the very things that are going to get me stopped and felt up! Thank GOD I'm not flying this year!
in this particular picture, they actually found explosives in this kids pants. apparently it was put there by his father not thinking the agents would look there. thank god for safety!
If everyone else has to be subjected to a pat down then muslim women should not be exempt. Their religious belief has nothing to do with the possibly of them having explosives hidden on their person. Like they haven't been known to be suicide bombers??? At least Florida had the brains to make them remove the facial garb for driver's license photos.
I feel so much safer now that they're molesting our children and old ladies while letting muslims in burkas straight through without a glance. Our federal govt ROCKS!
What was it that Ben Franklin said? Oh yeah. "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
You sheeple dusgust me. Next you will be supporting the RFID chips implanted in the skin of free citizens.
What does it sum up?

ReplyDeleteThat's why I prefer the body scanners.

ReplyDeletePeople should be profiled. Who cares if it is politically correct or not.
ReplyDeleteA white 5 year old boy is not going to be a terrorist.

ReplyDeleteThere were no explosives found in a child's pants.
