Orville & Wilbur Wright lay claim as first in flight - and rightfully so.
When they try and market their invention to the US Government - they are rebuffed.
So - when one of the brothers dies - the other essentially gives up - and then the US Government wants them to turn over their flying machine to a US museaum so our government can take credit for their achievements in aeronautical engineering.
No way Jose - the familiy decides to donate their machine to a European museum instead.
I'm not making this stuff up folks - Google and read the full story about how the US Government 'cold shouldered' the Wright Brothers achievements.
3:31... Then why are many Wright flyers in a museum at the oldest operational airfield in College Park, MD? Where the military trained on and flew a few of their planes.. Not to mention the ones you can find in the National Air and Space Museums. Doesn't sound like a cold shoulder to me.
After personally visiting these museums, I believe you are making this stuff up.
