Sheriff Michael A. Lewis Endorses Matt Maciarello For States Attorney

October 15, 2010

It is with great pleasure that I announce my full endorsement of Matt Maciarello in his candidacy for State’s Attorney for Wicomico County. I’ve come to know Matt well over the past several months, and I’m impressed with his dedication, his strong desire and his relentless determination to serve the citizens of Wicomico County. As a twenty-six year veteran of law enforcement, and as Sheriff of Wicomico County, I believe Matt Maciarello possesses the necessary skills to lead the Office of State’s Attorney, to effectively manage his resources, including personnel, and to become a very good trial attorney.

I have no doubt that Matt will continue to forge very close working relationships with all of the law enforcement agencies within Wicomico County. In truth, he has already promoted cooperation between agencies in different areas, including community policing. His honesty, his integrity and his hard work ethic are admirable traits worthy of recognition, and certainly making him a most desirable candidate.

Without a doubt, Matt Maciarello has my unequivocal support in his bid to become the next State’s Attorney for Wicomico County.

Michael A. Lewis

  3. Wow! Seth you may as well stop spending anymore $$ on your campaign. I believe with the FOP & Sheriff behind him you will be in private practice for at least another 4 years.

  4. Sheriff Lewis' and the FOP's endorsements are very significant in that law enforcement officers know the candidates and regularly work with the States Attorney. They know much better than the average citizen who would make the best States Attorney.

  6. Do not underestimate Mitchell. He's got a lot of core support in Salisbury, starting with the scheming Barrie Tilghman.

Get out there and work for Matt.

    MAKE SURE HE WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. The rumor is that Mr. Ruark is headed to the United States Department of Justice. I wish him all the best, and I thank him for all of his years of service. I hope he will stay through the Leggs trial and to guide and steer the many other murder cases to trial before he leaves. Good luck Matt!

  11. Matt will learn and learn well from the best, Davis Ruark. There has never been a better State's Attorney on the Eastern Shore or in the State of Maryland than Davis. Matt will learn a lot from him if Davis will stay for a while. I think that Davis will.
