The Obama-run Washington bureaucracy has classified a common and reliable rifle, the M1 Garand, as a "threat to public safety in the U.S.," and the State Department has canceled plans by the Republic of Korea to return tens of thousands of surplus rifles to the U.S. for sale in the consumer market.
The stunning classification of an ordinary gun that was used in the U.S. military for two decades and issued to thousands of soldiers and Marines during World War II and Korea as a threat came in a document by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
It is being publicized by Examiner gun rights writer David Codrea, who said the federal agency appeared alarmed that there would be "no more controls [over imported Garands] than any other firearm."
"If I read this right, what they're saying is, every gun poses a threat to public safety in the U.S.," he wrote. "This is the same rationale used in model-specific 'assault weapons' bans – the type of gun is somehow deemed relevant, even though untold numbers of such firearms are already peaceably owned in this country, and even though no supporting evidence for this conclusion exists beyond agenda-promoting speculation."

Our government must disarm the citizens if they have any hope of continuing to steal our money and force us into slavery.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise they will be overthrown by an angry mob.
I'd love to see him come take my garand!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think Obama supported Chi-town's and DC's gun bans? duh. He's anti-gun. Anti-constitution. Anti-American.

ReplyDeleteRevise your thinking and understanding. Barry Soetoro's HANDLERS are anti-gun, anti-Constitution, and anti-American.
It is the people who gave us Obama that we need to focus on. Obama is the puppet. Look behind the wall at the people who are pulling the puppet's strings.
Brezinski, Soros, Rothschild Family, Rockefeller Family, Dupont Family, Bundy Family, Astor Family, Carnegie Family, etc
One decision, which probably never even crossed Obama's desk, is reason for all the conspiracy talk?
ReplyDelete11:59
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Our government has conspired against us to prevent us from arming ourselves in any pertinent way. We could never defend ourselves against this police force or the military.
The question of WHO controls our President is relevant? Isn't it?
12:34, last I checked most of us don't own anti aircraft cannons, stinger missles, bunker buster bombs, or anti tank guns. I doubt any of us could stand up to the US military no matter which pres. is in charge. But you can go out and buy weapons with more power and that hold more ammunition than the weapon in this story so your whole theory here doesn't quite pass muster.
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you take your pills today?
1:00
ReplyDeleteOoops! Thanks for reminding me.
Why would our government tell us what we can and cannot own? Why would it tell us what we can and cannot eat, drink or smoke?
Doesn't the government serve us? Or are we serving the governemnt?
Never mind. I know the answer to that one too. It takes a few minutes for the drugs to kick in.
1:17....most of these deaf dumb and blind bozos believe with all their heart and soul that our government knows whats best for us and ALWAYS has our best interests in mind....its much easier for them to live their lives when so much of their thinking is done for them...its the center of "I haven't done anything wrong, so I don't care what they do or how they do it"...its the very same thing that our founding fathers believed, which allowed our country to become the light of the free world. You follow that reasoning, don't you? I'll be by later for some of those pills....
ReplyDelete5:29, do you think it's "the government" the magically comes up with anti-gun laws? Not saying that I agree with them, but I guess you forget about the many citizen groups out here that lobby for their belief that better gun control = less crime. But I forgot, you guys enjoy selective factchecking.
ReplyDelete6:51...our government, sorry to point this out to you, does it's own selective fact-checking. Many current laws, including the premise and subsequent laws regard gun onwership, were enacted based on selective facts and outright dismissal of facts. Example? Taking guns from citizens reduces crime. How's THAT working out in Chicago and Washington, DC? Our current laws are replete with examples like this one. How about health care? Think THAT was by popular demand? What the citizens want rarely matters to our "government". You CAN'T really believe that, do you? If you do, then I must ask -- who is REALLY doing "selective fact checking"?
