A high performance deer hunters arrow was found in our sheep's pen this morning at 7:00. It was laying in the proximity of where he always sleeps. Thankfully he wasn't hit, but the officer who responded to our 911 call said, had he been hit, he would have certainly died. The tip of the arrow contained razor blade barbs. I'll quote the Officer "some people are monsters" and I'm in total agreement. I understand that 2 dogs were shot in Berlin and a horse was hit in Wicomico County. I know how you feel about the animals and any support you can give to finding these terrorists would be appreciated.
The horse that was hit was named Henry and it was on Nanicoke Rd not far from our farm. I believe WBOC did a feature on him A friend of ours spoke to a local gas station owner (Chevron) near our home and a woman who over heard his conversation said she lives in Misty Creek in Hebron and she found two arrows in her fence and one stuck in her dog house. I don't know if she made a police report. These creeps are all over the place. No one is safe,it doesn't matter if you live in a rural area or a development they think they can get away with doing this I hope that you can put all your resources and influence into helping to find these terrorists.
EDITORS NOTES: Folks, everyone needs to keep a keen eye out fort vehicles slowing down or even stopping on your road. Take note of the vehicle, color, brand or perhaps a tag number. Be sure to AIM at their tires only when shooting your CAMERA, should you get the opportunity to be so fortunate. Their time is coming and together we will capture these people.
Another thing to do is post No Hunting signs on your property, particularly if you had fields. We have had problems in the past and it's better to have it posted. If you do have someone who hunts on your property, please be sure they have a permission slip to be on the property. We have had DNR check to see if the people who were hunting here were supposed to be. I'm not opposed to people hunting deer; however, when you start running around shooting at anything and everything just because you are sick that's a whole other issue.
ReplyDeletethe two dogs hit was just pure abuse. I am prepared for a long photo shoot.
ReplyDeleteIt is either a thief or a kid. Chances are this is some nutball that stole someone's bow and has decided he wants to shoot it. Your average hunter is not going to spend large amounts of money on a bow, arrows and broadheads, to go shoot peoples pets and risk losing it all. This will stop when they run out of arrows, unfortunately, probably before they are caught.
ReplyDeleteYet you rednecks just want to keep huntin'...
ReplyDeleteSounds like these people are sick!!
ReplyDeleteAfter a while you'll be afraid to walk your dog.
Those who live on farms must be terrified for their animals who roam loose. Neighbors need to band together to keep close survalience.
Probably some idiot from the Pocomoke forest. Those people are crazy!

Don't forget that not too long ago a cat was shot by the same kind of arrow in the area of Hunter's Mill. I believe there may be a link between that incident and the more recent ones.
ReplyDeleteFolks these scum bags shooting arrows at everything and anything are not hunters! These people are no better then the guy that does a drive by shooting on a house. Any sportsman that has knowledge of who the scum bag is would turn him in. A true sportsman or hunter would never do anything like this so please don't call them hunters. Call them criminals because that's what they are!
ReplyDeleteAlways remember that Jeffrey Daumer killed dogs and put their heads on sticks all over the yard as a kid before he took it to the next level. Many times these crimes initiate sexual gratification and when they get decenzitized to it, they take it to the next level.
ReplyDeletewhere was michael vick when this was going on?
ReplyDeleteFolks dont blame the innocent men and woman that hunt for food or sport...This sounds like some stupid freak looking for a thrill....
ReplyDeleteyou shoot an arrow at my dog, house, ect. be prepared for high speed lead in your direction
ReplyDelete"Idiots on the Loose on the Eastern Shore" could be a daily column!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Anonymous 11:05 AM and 12:23 PM These are NOT hunters, just mean people with bows and arrows. The majority of hunters that I've known through life ask permission to hunt on someone else's property and they're hunting for game not pets. When they catch these rotten guys or guy, they'll already have a criminal history. They didn't become mean overnight and I feel certain that they've been this way for a long, long time. Ask yourself this question, Who do I know that has acess to a bow and arrows, is a fairly good shot and really a mean human being? If you think of somebody, turn him in, because he damages the reputation of every single decent hunter that's out there.
ReplyDeletetrust me these are not hunters at all. I think these young men are from the nanticoke area. They are using cross bows and bows. They have been a thorn in the side of this community for a long time. They have family at the Board of Ed and in the State'e Attorney's Office. Last year they shot up nanticoke and Tyaskin. Mike Lewis do something about it !!!!
ReplyDeleteAnyone who shoots at animals for sport, especially pets and livestock, has a screw loose somewhere and is dangerous to humans too.I hope they catch these sickos, who should count themselves lucky they havent been hit back.
ReplyDeleteBaltimore County, it is probably some idiot from Bal'mer that comes down here and wants to try to hunt. They have been known to shoot goats and check them in as deer. That is why I will never hunt public hunting again thanks to the idiots from the western shore and PA. Real hunters from around here know what hunting is and how to do it.
ReplyDeleteBaltimore County, If we didn't have the real redneck hunters here on the Shore, the deer population would be out of control. Then you would be begging the real hunters to get rid of them. If you don't like the rednecks here, then go back across the bridge. Nobody who was born and raised here wants anybody with an attitude like yours to be here anyway. As far as these sick wackos, they will be caught.
ReplyDelete4:06 and 4:46
ReplyDeleteAmen and well said! Thanks to both ofyou!
1:19pm Do tell....don't make blind accusations. I doubt anyone from the nanticoke area would travel to the suburbs to hunt or shoot at anything that moves. They tend to create havoc on their own turf. There is plenty of prime hunting on the westside until the baltimorons invade the area for rifle season.
ReplyDeleteI am from Baltimore originally and my husband is a hunter, we are good God fearing people, not everyone who comes from Baltimore is a bad person. My son was raised here and we would never do anything like this. Please stop assuming that everyone from that side of the bridge is an idiot. We love it here especially the wonderful people. I will not place the same assumption on the wonderful people on the shore because of what you have stated - (4:06,4:46, 7:20 God Bless!
ReplyDeleteIf this continues, I give it 10 years until the person or people involved become serial killers. This is not normal behavior. Dogs to sheep are an escalation. It will continue to escalate until it is people.
