FIRST LADY KATIE O'MALLEY TO HONOR 10 LEGENDARY LADIES

First Lady to Join Maryland Life Magazine and the Maryland Women's Heritage Center in Honoring 10 Women who have changed the face of Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, MD – First Lady Katie O’Malley today will join Maryland Life magazine and the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center in honoring ten women who have changed the face of Maryland, at the Heritage Center’s annual “10 Legendary Ladies” recognition ceremony.
 
The Maryland Heritage Center is the first comprehensive state-based center and museum of its kind in the nation.  The mission of the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center is to preserve the past, understand the present, and shape the future by recognizing, respecting, and transmitting the experiences and contributions of Maryland women and girls of diverse backgrounds and regions.

  2. Leave it to some jerk to take a nice thing and talk about it ugly.

    I have 3 daughters. When I was growing up, there was almost nothing about accomplished women except Betsy Ross, Clara Barton and Marie Curie.

    My daughters have learned about amazing women and inspired them to learn about things most girls wouldn't care about after a life of Barbies and pink everything.

    I hope by the time they are on their own, they won't have to contend with too many people like 8:05.

    thats because they dont do much. kitchen, clean, bedroom.
