MD Congressman Calls For Schools To ‘Promote The Agenda’ Of Climate Change, Population Limitation

Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.) told CNSNews.com at a "Sustainability Education Summit" hosted by the U.S. Education Department on Tuesday that environmental education in schools can "promote the agenda" of climate change and population growth through the influence it has on children.

“Like I keep saying over and over again, if you get young people invested in those ideas early on, that will result in those kinds of positive policy developments," Sarbanes told CNSNews.com. "So, whether it’s climate change, whether it’s population growth, whether it’s all these factors that impact the health of our world, raising that awareness early among young people is only going to promote the agenda.”

CNSNews.com interviewed Sarbanes after he spoke at a U.S. Department of Education event--"Sustainability Education Summit: Citizenship and Pathways for a Green Economy"--hosted by Education Secretary Arne Duncan.

Sarbanes also said; “If we can provide them with a framework and help promote educational opportunities, in the beginning as I said, at the earliest stages, they’ll just grab hold of it and take it from there. So in a sense it’s a wonderful partnership where the adults can create this policy framework and help support it with grant funding and other kinds of initiatives and then the young people are going to take that, and they’re the ones that are really going to push it to the next level.”

  1. Oh yes. The youngsters will embrace the ideas of climate change and eugenics without the bothersome questioning of basic presuppositions.

Mind control. Public education is not about helping people learn the truth or teaching people how to educate one's self. It is about control.

I can see it now: Mom, Dad don't complain about carbon taxation. It is for the good of the world.

Mom, Dad don't complain about how many people are now sterile, it is for the good of the world.

Mom, Dad don't you realize the rich elites are destined to rule over the rest of us? Why do you resist the natural order of things?

Mom, Dad why do you think you need to own a gun? Don't you know the police will protect you? Don't you know only the police should be armed? Don't you trust the police? Don't you trust the government?

Mom, Dad those chemical trails in the sky are for our own good. They are trying to block the dangerous sunlight. Sunlight is bad. It makes everything warm and makes weeds grow tall. We get all of our food from EPA and UN approved companies in EPA and UN approved stores. We don't need a backyard garden.

Mom, Dad only the rich people should drive SUVs or ride on airplanes.

  2. Cap and Trade is designed to make a few people rich and the rest of us unable to afford gas and electric. WTF up people, Goeorge Soros stands to make billions , Al Gore will make billions and scores of people "IN THE KNOW" have invested in the companies that will make a fortune offof the taxpayer, like Franklin Raines . See this travesty for what it its, a scheme to make the ruling class even richer.

  3. There is no scientific basis for the idea of global warming. It is a trick.

What is real however, is the military's efforts to control the weather through jet stream manipulation. That is real.

  4. There is more damage being done by the airplanes leaving those hazy trails of pollution in the sky than by people driving SUVs.

  5. 10:42; 10:46; 11:05 and 11:06, everyone is correct. CONTROL by the powers that be (soon to be World Powers) is what this is all about. we are like sheep being led to the slaughter.

you think you have financial problems now; you haven't seen anything yet !!

if people would wake up to what is being taught in the "government" or public schools to our little mush minds and teach the children truth; we may still have a chance to turn this around. problems is many of the public school teachers have already fallen for this crap. they didn't and still don't have the skills to think objectively; question and research for themselves. sad but true.

  9. C'mon people....if you can't trust the government, WHO can you trust? I'm hearing a bunch of paranoid haters who seem to think the ultra-rich maipulate governments and laws to benefit themselves and and don't really care about the environment (not a problem where THEY live), society (you mean, eewww, Black people and MEXICANS???), laws (aaahhh, they're not made for the rich--they're for you peasants), or the future (WE make the future, so what's to worry)....I wish you people (they call you "sheep") would stop falling for all these myths and urban legends. The wealthy and connected have all the respect in the world for your rights, opinions, and condition. As long as you don't try to date their daughter or move into their neighborhood.... eeeeeewwwww....DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!

  11. 9:34... LOL...you ever read my other posts calling for an armed revolution? Hanging lying public officials? LOL! Read it again and then try to find some biting sarcasm....It was a tongue-in-cheek commentary on the wealthy and connected and their (very absent/disdainful) concern for the "common man"....I trust the government about as much as I trust an angry rattlesnake in my sleeping bag....your post cracked me up...
