Health Insurers In Certain States Won’t Issue Child-Only Policies Anymore

Parents in some states may have fewer choices when shopping for insurance coverage for their children. Many insurers--anticipating rules this week that will bar them from refusing to cover sick children--say they won't issue child-only policies anymore.

  2. Yep, this is on Obama. Just got dropped from my insurance because we are self employed (they will only insure groups) I am hearing that rates are going to as much as double in January. Right now we pay $1100/month!

  3. These companies are making moves they would have already made. Now they can use Obama as an excuse for PR purposes. Don't let your anger over Obama make you forget that these are the same people that have stuck it to their customers during their time of need for over a decade.

  6. 6:24, you're right, the health care bill did not lead to the instant destruction of the medical field in the US, a complete communist take over of the country, or the extinction of the sun. Instead we saw a few small measures that can go a long way take effect this year (no more insurance drops for preexisting conditions, increase time college kids can be covered) before other measures that will increase coverage and decrease the rise in costs to US consumers.
