The health of a Lhasa apso-type dog that was left in a cardboard box next to an industrial trash bin Wednesday is improving now that she is being cared for at the county's animal shelter, said Harold Domer Jr., director of the Frederick County Animal Control Division.
Domer wants to know who left the dog in such poor condition and why. His office received a call to pick her up in the area of 5800 Oleander Place off Crestwood Boulevard in Frederick.
She is an adult, and her color is tan.
