Tips On Tipping Everyone From Your Pizza Guy To Your Sherpa

We all that know that tipping your waiter 15-20% is the standard (though some of you will surely disagree) or that you usually throw the pizza guy at least a couple bucks, especially if he braves flood waters to deliver your order. But what about your tattoo artist, or your salmon fishing guide or your sherpa?

  1. What about your employer paying you and we dont tip at all, as a matter of fact why dont you tip your customers for bringing you any business at all.

  2. $2 Tip for a $12 Cheese Pizza is more then enough if he is driving within a 5 mile radius. He didnt make it, didnt even box it, just delivering it.

  4. We always tip the delivery guy/gal. They make a crap salary, are using their gas/vehicle and are saving us from having to go out and pick up dinner. I feel that warrants a tip. My mother (rest her soul) always taught me that you are supposed to tip someone who performs a service for you. So I continue her tradition.

    Are you trying to say that delivery people are stupid?
    Well, i think they are.
    I would tell the owner of the pizza place to deliver it his own self with the profits he was making.
    Why would anyone spend there money to deliver product for someone else to make money while they are starving?
    Or are the pizza places in business for the fun of it and dont make enough profit to pay there help.
    Bull , the employers of this area just dont pay anyone they dont have too.

  6. Why would anyone tip someone that ownes the business? For example, if the tattoo artist is the owner of a one man (or woman) shop, the price of the work is all inclusive or should be. You tip an employee but not the owner.

  7. There are some places that add a delivery charge to the tab. Does that go to the business or the delivery person? Is that delivery charge supposed to take the place of a tip or is it added to make sure they do get a tip? I think some places started this when gas prices were so high.

  8. I disagree with tipping on take-out. I sometimes pick up just so I don't have to bother with a delivery and a tip. I once had a local italian restaurant add $5 to my credit slip to give themselves a tip. When I called, he said it would "come off when it actually posted to my account". Well, it didn't, but I didn't pursue it because it was a couple of young girls that worked the hostess/carryout stand, and I really didn't want to get them fired even though I consider them theives.
