The victim sustained a minor cut on his nose, swelling to left side of face and large contusion to the back of his head. The victim was treated and released from Beebe Medical Center.

Monday August 2, 2010 Delaware State Police investigated an attempted robbery near the intersection of Ramblewood Drive and Fieldcrest Drive Rehoboth, Delaware. The attempted robbery occurred around 11:15 p.m.
The 21 year old victim was walking to his residence when a slow moving vehicle approached from the rear by a grey or dark colored 4 door Jeep. The victim advised the front right passenger door opened and he was struck on the back of his head by an unknown object. The victim who had his glasses knocked off limiting his ability to see was unable to provide a more detailed description of the suspects. The first suspect continued to assault the victim as he lay on the ground and then attempted to separate him from his backpack. A second suspect also believed to be a male exited the rear passenger side of the Jeep and assisted the first suspect in assaulting the victim. The second suspect also was unable to free the backpack from the victim. The third suspect who was they driver never exited the vehicle.
Giving up after not obtaining the backpack the suspects reentered the Jeep and fled out of the development to an unknown destination.
