Becomes first candidate for State Senate in District 37 to have dedicated space.

Chris Jakubiak, candidate for State Senate from District 37
, opened his official campaign headquarters at 18 S. Harrison Street on August 6th between 6 and 9pm. The event was attended by more than 50 residents of the district, many of whom had come to Easton for the First Friday festivities.

“We are really excited to have opened an office in Easton,” Jakubiak said on Friday. “We are confident that having a place where residents can find us downtown will enable us to reach out to more voters.” The office will be used to hold events, organize volunteers, and provide space for staff to work.

“The highlight of the night for me was seeing everyone's children running around the yard,” Jakubiak continued. “Everyone has worked so hard to make this office a reality and watching these kids playing tag reminds me just how much is at stake with this election.”

Visitors enjoyed refreshments and discussed with the candidate the issues facing Talbot County in the upcoming election. The Jakubiak Campaign joins the Talbot County Democratic Party, headquartered just two blocks away, in having office space in downtown Easton. Official office hours have not yet been set, but they, and more information about the candidate, can be found at the campaign’s website: http://www.jakubiakformdsenate.com.

  1. A vote for Chris Jakubiak is better than a vote for his openly gay primary opponent Tim Quinn who is the owner of the Legal Spirits restaurant in Easton. It is a shame that former Governor Harry Hughes has endorsed this mocker of morality. From Bob Bauman to Jim Ireton, the Shore have had more than it's share of these sexual perversions. What God says about Tim Quinn's qualifications is more important than what Harry Hughes says.
