Do We “Terrorize” Muslims?

DelawareLiberal claims that we (Americans) terrorize Muslims.  Do we?

Let’s look at this example from our friends from the First State leftosphere:

In the latest in a spate of anti-Muslim incidents over the last two days, an intoxicated man entered a mosque in Queens on Wednesday evening and proceeded to urinate on prayer rugs, New York police officials said.

The man, identified as Omar Rivera, reportedly shouted anti-Muslim epithets and called worshippers who had gathered for evening prayer “terrorists.” One witness told the New York Post the man was “very clearly intoxicated” and had a beer bottle in his hand at the time.

“He stuck up his middle finger and cursed at everyone,” Mustapha Sadouki, who was at the mosque at the time, said. “He calls us terrorists, yet he comes into our mosque and terrorizes other people.”

Was Omar Rivera rude?  YES!  Should he be punished for his offense?  YES!  Is this terrorism against Muslims?  Give me a break!

Let’s face it, we live in the world we live in.  If a group of Episcopalians or lacrosse players were responsible for the largest terror attack in our nation’s history, many Americans might blame Episcopalians or lacrosse players.  It’s wrong, but it’s also human nature.

The left needs to quit portraying every distasteful incident of anti-Muslim bias as an act of terrorism or a major civil rights issue.  It’s a classic case of HATE AMERICA FIRST!

  2. I agree GA. I just had a lengthy debate with some friends on the very issue. Are we rejudice against muslims? Yes, most of us are. But prejudice is a normal natural phenomenon that has been part of our psychological make up since before we wlked on to legs. It is also a part of our mind that in no small way is the reason we made it as far as we have as a specie. Think about the dodo bird. It never knew to pre judge us as a threat and now there are none left. Animals that don't prejudge are eliminated through natural selection.

Me? I'd rather put my defenses up in the presence of a muslim and find out later that I was wrong than to pretend everyone is the same and find out one of them is wearing an explosive vest. Look at the neighbors of those who flew airplanes into the WTC. They never knew that these ppl were capable of these acts of violence. They just assumed they were like everyone else - and they were wrong.

"Was Omar Rivera rude? YES! Should he be punished for his offense? YES! Is this terrorism against Muslims? Give me a break!"
Why should he be punished for what you say is rude?
    It's freedom of speech.
Rudeness & bigotry are not against the law

  8. Nick, Timothy McVeigh didn't act under the color of his religion. Islam requires the use of violence to force infidels into conformity. So keep defending Islam.

  9. The pertinent question is this: Who was McVeigh working for and who assisted him to PLANT 3 separate bombs INSIDE the F.P. Murrah Building?

How did McVeigh get access inside the building?

Also, Who planted the explosives inside the World Trade Center buildings 1, 2, and 7?

Answer those questions and you will begin to see the problem with Islamic Terrorism.

  10. One should never support American on American Hate crimes.

The WAR is against TERROR — not ISLAM. — Go ask Republican George W. Bush. He has always said that this should be clear.
