What Is The Wicomico County Republican Central Committee?

The Wicomico County Republican Central Committee consist of nine individuals who are elected in the Republican Primary every four years.

These people are the face of the Republican Party in Wicomico County. These are your neighbors. People that you can call on the phone, e-mail or see out in public and ask about the Republican Party in Wicomico County.

Having served on the central committee from 1990-1998, I have decided to be a candidate again.

The central committee is more than a monthy meeting where member's opinions are voiced and two state conventions each year. Members of the committee should be seen at local political events and wear a badge telling that they are committee members. Let people know who you are.

The Wicomico County Republican Central Committee should also have a two year and a four year plan. I personally would like to see a retreat shortly after the committee reorganizes in November. At this retreat, a comprehensive plan could be established where not only the direction of the committee is defined but each of the nine members has a role with specific goals. There are resources available at little or no expense from the Maryland state party headquarters.

The web site should be kept up-to-date with the names of committee members, Republican Club officers and an application blank, and names of Republican elected officials. Dates of up coming events should also be publized.

The Republican Party is alive and well in Wicomico County. We just need to spread the word and let everyone share the good news.

  1. Do you know when the Rep. Headquarters is going to open up? And where will it be?

  3. The Republican Party in Wicomico County, especially the Central Committee is a bunch of losers. Thank God John Bartkovich isn't running again.

Good luck Ann on your election.
