Augusta State University student Jennifer Keeton is suing her school based on allegations that teachers wanted her to change her beliefs on homosexuality.
The right to be homophobic? How about doing the right thing and taking a moral stand? America needs to return to morality. She is doing what is right. She isn't homophobic. There is nothing wrong with her beliefs. She is doing what is right and I support her 100%. It is time to stop justifying and glorifying an immoral practice.
they say she was wrong for pushing her values on others. why is it wrong for her to push her values (which are held by a majority of other people); YET, its ok for others to force their values down are throats? isnt that "reverse intolerance"?
That is a very poor choice of wording for this headline. Do you know what the definition of the word "homophobic" means? The word "homophobia" means "unreasoning fear of or antipathy toward homosexuals and homosexuality." Just because someone believes homosexuality is wrong does not mean they have a fear of or antipathy towards homosexuals. You are making a terrible assumption here. I believe homosexuality is wrong. But I have friends who are homosexual. I have no fear of them. No hatred towards them. What this girl is suing for is the right not to be discriminated against. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with fear or hatred.
It seems to me that you are twisting the story and just creating a headline to grab attention without regard for accuracy.
'Homophobe' is becoming a generic term because of the incessant use of it by the left. A constant drumbeat-- as in 'brainwashing'. I dislike homosexuality, but I'm not afraid of it or them. I am NOT a homophobe. I do not 'hate' (another brainwashed-in generic term) homosexuals. I am just against what they DO.
"homosexuality is a choice. homosexuality is natural." ya know what? so is hate. get over it. why is one ok but not the other. i can choose to hate homos if i want. you dont have to listen to me. however, once you start shoving your lifestyle in my face, then yes. you DO have to listen to me. whats good for the goose...
then you're a homophobe, 12:56. If you're against what other grown adults do that doesn't affect you at all, then you're scared of it for some reason. you might want to look inside yourself and figure out why you care what other adults do.
I'm so sick of lawsuits like this. They are a total waste of taxpayer money!! Just like the girl who sued because she couldn't go to her prom. A lawsuit? Really? Sue Sue Sue...that's all some people have on their minds anymore. You can hardly wake up in the morning anymore without the risk of being sued! Such hatred in this country anymore!
She has the right to be homophobic, just like most of the people who have commented on this post. She is wasting time and money trying to get something she already has. I have come to terms with the fact that I live in a small-minded community with small-minded opinions on homosexuality. Feel free to spew hate and pickle in your own negativity. Maybe if homophobic heterosexuals got the treatment they need, there would be less hate in the world. Keep fighting the fight, homophobes, check the news from time to time. You are obviously not winning. I am sorry that you all are so angry over something you can not change. Homosexuality is normal...Just like stupidity.
being gay has nothing to do with morality. for all of you bible thumpers out there, i'm pretty sure placing judgement is a no no as well. why is your sin less than theirs? 4:14, really? the treatment they need? did matthew shepard get the treatment he needed? gay people have a right to life and liberty, just as you do, unfortunately.
"What goes around comes around" i predict she will have at least one gay child in her future.

It would be irresposible and malpractice for this school to grant her a degree in counseling.

ReplyDeleteMore people need to follow her lead . I hope homosexuals get the treatment they need and there will be no need for law suits .

ReplyDeleteIf she is not interested in being educated she should leave school. There are lots of places she can spread her ignorance.
