Lindsey Lohan who? I cant believe the news coverage being given to a spoiled 20-something yr old. Here are a few 20 year-olds worth knowing about: Justin Allen 23, Brett Linley 29, Matt Weikert 29, Justus Bartett27, Dave Santos 21, Chase Stanley 21, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew King 23, Christopher Goeke 23, & Sheldon Tate 27. These 20-somethings gave their lives for you this week fighting for our freedom!
MSM at it's best! I'm tired of hearing about the popular stars in trouble. It' makes me puke. Thank God the Jackson thing and the Tiger thing has slowed down.
ReplyDeleteI would much rather hear about these 20+ year olds as they were doing something very important for all of us whereas this Lohan person is on a self destruction mission.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless these young people and the families they left behind.
ReplyDeleteAs for the famous who do whatever to keep their names in the news, I feel nothing for you.
Surprised? At what? the liberal media likes to denigrate and sabotage (see: NY Times publishing secret, and sometimes, top-secret material) our military efforts. They love to take advantage of the freedoms of our country, but don't want any part in defending or protecting them, and seem to think that they are an effortless manifestation of some long-ago and ill-conceived capitalist conspiracy. Lindsay Lohan, to them, is a star we should feel empathy for, but the men and women who died so she could have the freedom to do whatever it is she actually does anymore (cocaine?), or the families who never wil see their son or daughter again (except in a casket) and never got a chance to even say "goodbye, I love you", well, THEY aren't worthy of attention. Its beyond shameful. It's disgusting.
ReplyDeletesadly enough most media is numbers driven these pop culture totems sell there is no hard nosed journalism anymore even serious matters are reduced to fluffy soundbites read: Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt's " The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" and Allen Bloom's " The Closing of the American Mind " even our politics and elections have been reduced to crude pitches to peoples base emotions and fears
