NAACP Condemns Tea Party As Racist

Multisource political news, world news, and entertainment news analysis by Newsy.com

The NAACP is condemning the Tea Party movement for what it calls “explicitly racist behavior.” Does the group have a point, or is it just vying for attention?

  1. That's like the KKK calling someone else a racist .

  2. So let me get this straight, an organization whose stated ONLY goal is to advance people of one skin color is calling another group racists?

    Really?

    People fall for this?

  3. They have been exposed for the world to see they are the Black panthers and the Black panthers are them . They are now irrelevant !

  4. The NAACP that fought in the 60's would be ashamed of the crew we have today. What did yesterday's vote do to alleviate excessively high unemployment in the minority community, the high drop out rates of black males in some communities, and the meager state of schools in many minority communities?

Yeah, there are some racist wackos in the tea party, just like there are wackos in all organizations. The NAACP needs to get back on track fighting the battles that matter.

  5. A group that was founded by white people, that only promotes the goals and well being of blacks, and supports the black caucus in Congress, can only be classifed as a full blown racist organization itself.

If it were to change its name and charter to (NAAAP) National Association for the Advancement of All People, it may devlop some credence. In the meantime the American people are begining to see it for what it really is; a very racist and divisive organization.

  8. 3:55 because the tea party believes the BS hype that people receiving WIC are bankrupting the system instead of wanting to attack the real drains on the budget (i.e. social security, medicaid, and medicare, defense). They call out Obama for deficits, but don't even realize that a majority of the projected deficits are due to permanent tax CUTS.

  9. I am glad to learn from 4:32 that when I experience deficits in my personal finance it is due to my income being insufficient, and not my excess spending. Wow, was I screwed up! Thank you 4:32!

  10. 10:51, so smart but yet so clueless. My entire point is that YES spending is a problem, but we spend astronomically more on the items that I listed than we do on WIC/public housing/etc. combined. Sheesh, maybe they should start teaching math lessons at the next tea party.

  11. Your headline is wrong. Read the resolution and tell the truth about what the NAACP actually passed.
