Iowa Billboard Linking Obama, Hitler Removed
North Iowa Tea Party group drew criticism from other conservative activists
DES MOINES, Iowa — A billboard created by an Iowa tea party group comparing President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler and Vladimir Lenin has been removed.
Kent Beatty, the general manager of the company that owns the billboard, says a North Iowa Tea Party representative called Tuesday night and asked that the sign in downtown Mason City be removed.
Beatty says his company replaced the sign Wednesday morning with a public service announcement.

And then people wonder why teaparty is dying off.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up.
Looks like someone got soft!!
ReplyDeleteThat is to bad. I was going to pay to have one put up in Salisbury. The truth hurts. Obama is going to be be the cause of the second civil war in this country. That train has left the station trust me. It will be a sad time in America when it happens. I guess what they say " history has a way of repeating itself".
ReplyDeleteThose of you that can work the land, hunt, fish. etc. Will be fine. Those of you that are soft and think fishing is a trip to red lobster will suffer trust me.
I pray it never happens. My guess is it will. So prepare thyself.
Canada no looking so bad after all Eh. lol. Just kidding i will stay and wait to see the whites of their eyes.
I have been a slave since age 15 when i started working to feed a class of people who refuse to work for them selves. My mother raised five by herself. None of us took guns and dope to the streets we worked. I am sorry enough is enough. People who actually have to pay to have children are having one maybe two. Those we all pay for have six children by age twenty-one. With five babies dadies. W.T.F. Obama you do not need the two million illeagals you are trying to get in. Your own will hit that mark for in six months.
One Disgusted American.
That's a shame hide the truth
ReplyDeleteFreedom of speech????
ReplyDeleteAmen 1:49 PM!
ReplyDeleteA propaganda campaign because they have no real ideas.
ReplyDeleteLinking our President to the guy who had millions of people murdered. Sure, that works. Tea party showing their true colors, or I should say color---lilly white. Any other color is just wrong. HILARIOUS
ReplyDeleteBut this was considered disrespectful to the office and to the country by the "true patriots" of the conservative movement when Bush was in office.
ReplyDeleteMmmhm you all are insane.
ReplyDeleteKeep beating that tambourine Alex maybe someone still believes like you. Go have your lime Kool-aid and bologna samich.
ReplyDelete1:49 … Hey Whitey – I have 4 kids, maybe I’ll throw you a bone and hire you to come clean our pool and wash my cars
ReplyDeleteWe need one of these billboards every ten miles along the highway maybe the illiterate people who voted for Obama will understand the pictures since they cant read.
ReplyDelete1:49 you really need to get out once in awhile. In case you haven't noticed there are better than 300 million citizens of these United States, we have the most powerful military on the planet, we enjoy more freedom than any other nation on earth, we are a civilized democracy. you talk as if the world ends at your property line. You are ignorant.
ReplyDelete1:49 I can relate to your sentiments, no hard working middle-class person likes welfare freeloaders or people that work the system. However, its not a problem that began the day Obama took office. Obama-bashers are getting out of hand blaming every problem this country has (and has had for decades) on him. And the Hitler comparisons? You people have lost your mind. You may not agree with his policies, but he fought criticisms from all sides for his first year to bring health care to every citizen, not burn them to death in a concentration camp. If some of you Obama bashers truly believe the stuff you write then I am sure as hell happy you are nowhere near an elected office because you are the crazy types that would destroy this nation.
ReplyDeleteRob S
Well Rob S Obama has only himself to blame for any and all comparisons . It's his actions that have drawn fire and rightfully so !
ReplyDeletewrong 4:32. He has done absolutely nothing like Hitler, and you're no better than the people who compared Bush to Hitler. No American President has ever done anything to be compared to Hitler.
ReplyDeleteIs anyone else tired of the BS, partisan double-speak?

To 4:37-The only reason he hasn't done what Hilter did is because (at least for now) we are still a nation of laws that will not permit it. Don't think for a minute that this bastard wouldn't round up his opponents if he could. What do you think he had in mind when he spoke of "a well funded private army that is just as powerful as the military"?
ReplyDeleteThank you 4:52. Too bad the idealogues are stuck so far up the elephant/donkey's "you know what" that there is not enough light to see the BS. Both sides are ripping this country apart.
ReplyDelete6:59 "You're" in need of a grammar lesson.
ReplyDelete4:32, What actions, specifically, relate Obama to Hitler? I think about 6 million Jews, if they were still alive today, would greatly disagree with you. He has reformed health care to benefit the lower class, certainly not rounded them up on train cars and taken them to concentration camps. He won a fair election, was not named "Chancellor" by the government and given full executive power (as much as you all think that may happen in America there is no chance ever).
Its ok to not like the guy and disagree with his policies. You have that right as an American (a right you did not have in Nazi Germany, if you spoke out publicly against Hitler you could pack your bags for Auschwitz). But don't compare him to one of the most evil dictators history has ever known because you don't like whats currently going on.
Rob S
Rob,
ReplyDeleteWhile you are correct, and it is very refreshing to read a voice of reason and calmness, you are shouting at brick walls in this forum on this blog.
I have been called a "liberal moron" countless times for making the same arguments you are, and have received the same responses,or lack thereof, on here.
The rules on here are simple: if you voted for Obama, actually think he is legitimate, and do not call him a Muslim, then you are an un-American, Kool-Aid drinking, terrorist appeaser. "I disagree, so you are wrong."
No one on the right(who represents themselves as so on this blog) is interested in dialogue.
Good luck to you though. I would hope that, eventually, people on both sides would speak to each other like adults. However, this is not the sandbox for that.
