Nearly one third of the Republican congressmen in the U.S. House of Representatives have introduced a resolution that would support Israel's right to use “all means necessary to confront and eliminate nuclear threats posed by Iran”, including military force.
The resolution was introduced by Rep. Louie Gohmert [R-Texas] and 46 co-sponsors.
House Resolution 1553 “condemns the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran for its threats of ‘annihilating’ the United States and the State of Israel, for its continued support of international terrorism, and for its incitement of genocide of the Israeli people.”
It “supports using all means of persuading the Government of Iran to stop building and acquiring nuclear weapons” and pledges that the U.S. will ensure that Israel “continues to receive critical economic and military assistance, including missile defense capabilities, needed to address the threat of Iran.”
In addition, it “expresses support for Israel’s right to use all means necessary to confront and eliminate nuclear threats posed by Iran, defend Israeli sovereignty, and protect the lives and safety of the Israeli people, including the use of military force if no other peaceful solution can be found within a reasonable time.”

ReplyDelete#1 If you dumb@$$es would have asked the hard questions before jumping into Iraq, squandering lives and hundreds of billions while the real enemies were building nukes, we might not be in this situation now.
#2 I bet half these cooks believe that it is our religious obligation to support "God's chosen people". I'm going to need you to put your bible to the side and remember that you represent people of all religious stripes as well as Christians that don't share your interpretation of the scripture.
#3 why not just officially declare war on Iran now. They know that this kind of overt support will lead to another war, except we don't have the means to go all out in this theater. This is a political ploy to get Dems. on board without declaring all out war. And I bet the limp noodle Dems. will follow right in.
#4 Damn Jewish lobby. If the russians had a lobby this powerful we'd be screaming about "foreign influence"
hey 9:03
ReplyDeleteYou scared? Chill man , Iran is a threat , so get rid of them. Simple solution. Don't make things
difficult with a bunch of excuses and crap . Iran needs to go , whatever it takes.
nuke iran!!
ReplyDelete11:26, Please see #1. We no longer have the resources to "get rid of them" because the dummies in Congress and former admin sent us into Iraq with guns blazing. We no longer have the tools to take these guys out. Just another excuse for the DOD contractors to make millions on bombs and cruise missles that at the end of the day are only going to scratch the surface.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans, wants someone else to do their dirty works. WWIII (Armageddon)is near.
ReplyDelete9:03, re: your #1 and your answer about "resources" at 12:31 . . .
ReplyDeleteRead the headline again -- this about giving the green light for ISRAEL to attack Iran, not the U.S.
Israel isn't in Iraq, and Iraq doesn't affect Israel's "resources."
Having said that, I don't think it would be wise for Israel to attack Iran. There are too many hardened and hidden targets to allow an attack to be effective -- in the long run they will just make the rest of the world angry at them (not that virtually everyone isn't perpetually angry at Israel anyway).
