(Sykesville, MD) – Governor Martin O’Malley will join Maryland State Police Superintendent Colonel Terrence B. Sheridan tomorrow to preside over the graduation of the 135th Trooper Candidate Class in Sykesville, Maryland. Following his remarks, Governor O’Malley will personally congratulate the 51 new troopers who have successfully completed 26 weeks of rigorous training. The graduates will be joined by their families, friends and Maryland State Police commanders at the ceremony.
The president of the class, Trooper Nathan Steelman, of Washington County, will also address the audience, but will not have long to wear his State Police uniform. He is also a sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve and will soon be leaving for training prior to deployment to Afghanistan. He has already served a 15-month tour in Baghdad.

Ironic how he attends the graduations during election years. He was nowhere to be seen at last years.
