Baby Bear Hit By Truck

An 18-month-old black bear strayed too far from its mother June 30 and was struck by a flatbed trailer near Aldie. The 90-pound bear suffered severe injuries, forcing Loudoun County sheriffs deputies to euthanize the animal to put it out of its misery, Kraig Troxell, a spokesman for the sheriffs office, said July 1.
