Dogs are a hundred times better. they love you unconditionally. Cats could care less about you. I already face enough indifference from the world everyday, why should i come home to more of the same from a cat. my dog is always happy to see me.
I disagree with the above. I think their both equal. I've had many cats and they have all been sweet and loving. Dogs more openly show their love; even though cats are more private, it doesn't mean that they don't love you. Cats are great too!
Depends on what your own needs are. I have both. Dogs are amazing & "open" with their affection, as 10:16 said. Cats love you just as much, but have different behavior patterns. They can't be as protective, or go with you everywhere like a dog can, but are lower maintenance.
Cats. You don't have to walk them in the middle of the night or in bad weather, or rush home to let them go outside and do their business. Cats are quieter too. One of my biggest peeves is a barking dog!
Dogs. A cat will climb on your counters and spread bacteria from his litter box to food prep surfaces. A dog might beg from time to time but will never plop on your kitchen table to lick his butt. I might have to clean dog poop in the yard but I can do that while I am pregnant and not have to worry with catching a pregnancy endangering disease.
My dog hates the ran so no I don't have to walk him in the rain like someone said above and he never has to go out in the middle of the night either. He doesn't get stuffed in a crate during the day he lounges around. When he hears us coming from 1/4 mile away he is excited as all get out that we are coming in.
He also runs from window to window when the children are playing to be sure they are safe. He would give his life to protect my children..I have never seen a cat that would do that!
Dogs because cats kinda suck

I think both are great. Pets are just special. Love them and take good care of them.
ReplyDeleteAll animals are good. A person once told me a most interesting thing, "You never own a cat--they own you." I've found that to be very true. EW
ReplyDeleteCats. In their own way, they're just as loving as dogs, and far less demanding. And, in my opinion, much more interesting and beautiful to look at.
ReplyDeletei would like to have a pet monkey
