Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On June 23, 2010 at approximately 6:16 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to a residence on the two hundred (200) block of Onley Road for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival the officers met with two (2) victims who advised that a subject had attempted to enter their residence through a rear window. The suspect did not make entry and was seen fleeing from the area with additional suspects. Responding officers searched the area and located a suspect matching the given description in the area of South Division Street. The victims were transported to the suspect’s location and positively identified the below listed suspect (#1) as the person seen attempting to make entry into the residence. Additionally, below listed suspect # 2 was with suspect #1 when located and was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected marijuana.

ARRESTED #1: Juvenile, 17 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Fourth degree burglary
Malicious destruction of property (over $500)
ARRESTED #2: Juvenile, 14 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Possession of marijuana
DISPOSITION: Both released to parents/guardians

On June 23, 2010 at approximately 9:02 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Safe Streets Unit were on routine patrol in the area of South Division Street and made contact with the below listed suspect. Upon contact, the officers detected the strong odor of marijuana emanating from the suspect’s person. The officers received permission to check the suspect and located a substantial quantity of suspected marijuana in the suspect’s pants pocket.

ARRESTED: Jamere Danzel Knox, 22 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute
Possession of marijuana
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia (13 counts)
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On June 24, 2010 at approximately 9:09 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the six hundred (600) block of light street for the report of a juvenile damaging vehicles.

Upon arrival the officers met with a witness who identified the below listed suspect as responsible for damaging several vehicles in the area. The suspect broke the window from one vehicle and destroyed the tires on several others. The officers were able to locate the suspect on Smith Street and take the suspect into custody.

ARRESTED: Juvenile, 16 years of age

CHARGES: Malicious destruction of property (over $ 500)
