Ah, the good old days!!! For a mere thin dime, I remember the wonderful, great days when I could go to a movie theatre, see a couple cartoons, news reels of current events, a weekly, cliff hanging serial, a "B" movie and then the feature presentation. What happened to those days??????
Wow, Joe. Are you that old?

ReplyDeleteyou must be an old bugger like me. those were good times. thanks sjd
ReplyDeletegreed, pure and simple. greed by movie companies, actors, theaters, ect. you used to be able to make a movie for way less then a lead actor gets paid nowadays. and the newer actors just cant hold a candle to people like jimmy stewert, john wayne and so many others
ReplyDeleteYeah, they were great times. Filled with raging polio, rampant racism, mob-controlled police, the start of hyper inflation, workers dying in crappy factories, etc., etc.
ReplyDeleteThe good old days weren't all that good.
And you could sit in the theater all day and see it all twice more.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened was television and advertising.
