Law Enforcement on the Eastern Shore of Maryland is teaming up together in an effort to stop AGGRESSIVE DRIVING. Law Enforcement will be out on area roadways enforcing the speed limit and other AGGRESSIVE DRIVING laws.
An intense enforcement initiative called, SUMMER HEAT, will begin Memorial Day weekend and will continue through September. This enforcement effort is a part of Maryland’s SMOOTH OPERATOR program that targets aggressive drivers. Speeding is AGGRESSIVE DRIVING.
SPEEDING SHATTERS LIVES.
SUMMER HEAT will be out in force from the Chesapeake Bay to the Ocean City Beach to slow drivers down and save lives.
FROM THE BEACH TO THE BAY ITS 55 EACH WAY
BEAT THE HEAT DRIVE

Our worship of statistics and lack of understanding for them combine to result in this type of mindless social engineering.
ReplyDeleteSpeeding does not shatter lives. Cars colliding with one another shatters lives. Collisions can be caused by numerous factors and speeding may or may not be one of them.
However, criminalizing the safe driving of an automobile at speeds which are still far below the average speed of a Maryland State Police car on an average day is simply mean. In Amerika, we have permitted the elite to write Statutory Laws which bind and imprison our lives. We are then punished by an illegal court system for violating a Statute.
Almost always no one is hurt and no property is damaged. Yet, we pay fines and face imprisonment for violating Statutes.
Our U.S. Constitution allows for Common Law - not Statutory Law. These Statutes are illegal, yet we accept these criminal attacks upon our freedom.
Some of us (like Joe here in this blog) even pay homage to these filthy Jewish Statutes against our Freedoms. He does so unknowingly. He like many others probably have never even considered the idea of punishing a person for something that hasn't happened yet - to be immoral.
Our's is an evil government which employs millions of mindless uneducated mind-controlled dupes into law enforcement. They enforce illegal and immoral Statutory Laws which our Fore Fathers once rebelled against.
Wake up Amerikans, please, wake up!
Thank you
I sure hope 10:46 does not run me down before Memorial Day.
ReplyDeleteTin foil hat time for 1046, who is either 10-56 or 10-96
ReplyDeleteMaybe they should "team up" with someone and catch some aggresive bank robbers and murderers. They would be the real criminals, after all
ReplyDeleteI do not have a problem with them pulling over aggressive drivers or drivers going 20 miles over speed limit. What I do have a issue with is the traps they use, or pulling over innocent people because a taillight was out.....any excuse to be in the Power of authority. We need to be able to ticket half these officers when they go flying by without lights on well over the speed limit to find them pulling into get something to eat. They need to start practicing what they enforce.
ReplyDelete10:46 I also ha those little voices in my head telling me to say and do things, so a nice man in the white jacket came and put me in the nice room.
ReplyDelete10:46
ReplyDeletePlease learn to spell the name of the country we live in.
AMERICA
Well I've never heard the things written by 10:46, ever!
ReplyDeleteBut I would be hesitant to say she was a tin foil hat wearer. Sounds more like an educated person who is upset over traffic fines.
I agree with one point in particular. The cops can drive 80 mph all day long but we must drive 55? What is that about? They aren't responding to emergencies. They just cruise up and down the road as fast as they want.
My car is well equipped and handles great. It is very safe at 80 miles per hour on most roads around here. On curvy winding mountainous roads maybe not, but here, my car will handle 80 mph easily.
I dont understand 10:46 point about Statutory laws and Common laws. Anyone have more info on that?
I think the constitution calls for admiralty law, contract law and common law.
ReplyDeleteI thought statutes were common law.
I believe the commenter is simply wrong about statutes. All of our laws are statutes.
The cops definitely drive too fast. If they want us to slow down then they should set the examples.
ReplyDeletei have a simple solution
ReplyDeleteanyone coming to the shore on vacation must leave their car at a state line, and take a bus!
but with the gov budgets the way they are the extra income provide will help
Another cop bashing session! Again all cops get labeled for what a few do wrong! AND 10:46 PLEASE GO LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE UNTIL YOU CAN LEARN TO SPELL AMERICA AND AMERICANS. LIKE GO TO AFRIKA! Your the dupe you moron!!! YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MANY LIVES MAY BE SAVED DUE TO THE AGRESSIVE ENFORCEMENT THEY WILL BE DOING! Your legislature put the laws on the books and the executive branch is to enforce them. Cops don't make the laws they just enforce them so go to your legislature before you bash the ones that are just doing what they have sworn to do. and I bet every cop knows how to spell AMERICA! They are some of the most patriotic AMERICANS I know!
ReplyDeleteIf you're driving the speed limit and you're not driving aggressively, you don't have anything to worry about, so get over it!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, here you all go damning the police for being proactive but at the same time, you all claim that is what you want - proactive vs. reactive.
A proactive stance is what I want from the police. We'd have a lot less problems in this country if more police agencies were proactive!
11:38 How can you say you think that 10:46 is an educated person when they write Amerikans and not Americans?
ReplyDelete11:38 - I believe that was done on purpose. 10:46 Go cuddle up w/ Mein Kampf again & leave the blog alone :)
ReplyDeleteDoes that 55 mph speed limit include motorcycles on the Rt.13 bypass? SOME of them go a whole lot faster than 55. Any MSP can sit in back of my house (between Rt. 50 & Snow Hill Rd.)& empty his ticket book within an hour.
ReplyDelete10:46 thats alot of opinion , now get some balls and sign your name.
ReplyDelete2:01 the bypass is 65
ReplyDeleteAs someone who may or may not be an 18 year veteran of law enforcement, I can tell you that the average speed of citizens on US 50 is well over 55 mph. If you are conducting moving traffic enforcement (not just speed, but all traffic laws), and travel below that - you will never see anything more than a long lline of cars behind you. In order to observe violators, you have to catch up to them first. Don't tell me how to do my job, and I won't try to direct yours!
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is this: is it true that "statutory law" is not constitutional?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone on here know the answer?
10:46 may speak in unusual ways and probably can't spell very well but she apparently is trying to make a point about statutory law. I think it is a good issue unless the person is uninformed about the constitution.
The kings issued statutes. Right? Didn't we rebel against such things?
The basis of statutory law is that the police are working to prevent crime.
ReplyDeleteGreat. If we do something which might harm someone, even though it doesn't harm anyone, we are charged with a crime.
What a country.
And by the way, isn't Amerika a bit of sarcasm?
Kind of like protecting the Homeland?
Are we living in Nazi Germany?
And are we being charged with crimes by people who are committing crimes themselves? Doesn't speeding pertain to the police?
Doug,
ReplyDeleteI am a lady, but that's OK. I would still remain anonymous because I am stating opinions which are contrary to the lovely government mind set in this country. I have no desire to go somewhere else to live. I want my free country back. I don't want to live in a police state. But I certainly don't want to live under U.S. Military occupation elsewhere because that would be much much worse.
I have noticed in the past that Doug usually makes very intelligent observations. The lack of understanding for the need to remain anonymous simply means Doug is naive.
Our country has been hijacked by foreign financial interests who wish to tax us into poverty and set up a police/military/prison/industrial complex. The country we have now is not the one I grew up pledging my allegiance.
Henceforth, I refer to this pathetic shell of a country as Amerika.
It certainly got your attention.
Thank you
3:30
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
Amerika. I like it. Sarcastic and in your face. Our country is in deep trouble.
Im not so sure political activism will help at this point.
One thing is sure. The police (like the military) don't think about their jobs. They just do what they are told. So if statutory laws are unconstitutional then the cops are last ones to know it. Ditto the soldiers. If their orders are illegal over in Iraq or Afhanistan then they are the last ones who will know it.
We need better civics and government education in school. We need to read our constitution so we don't have to ask these things on a blog. We should all know that statutory laws are unconstitutional without having to ask an Eastern Shore Resident.
11:39 was almost right.
ReplyDeleteThe United States Constitution establishes 3 types of jurisdiction: Admiralty Law, Contract Law, and Common Law.
Currently our court systems are operated under military jurisdiction. That is symbolized by the gold fringe on the U.S. Flag.
All of our laws are Statutes issued by our Congress and signed by our Executive whether at state level or federal level. And yes, they are all totally unconstitutional.
There currently are no courts in America which operate under a Common Law jurisdiction. Common Law is very simple and the basis is property protection. If a person damages or steals another person's property then a crime has occurred. Charges should be brought and a jury of peers will decide the outcome of the arguments. Our bodies are considered our property under Common Law.
3:30 and 3:50 If you all know of a better place to live free then please tell us all. And if youi do why aren't you there instead of a country you can't stand. Woman GEEEZ, get a life go hug a tree or something. You should be proud to be an AMERICAN where it is OK for you to say AMERIKA. If you did that in another country they chop your head off. FOOLS
ReplyDeleteSo does this mean we can all drink and drive as long as we don't actually hit someone else? That it is illegal to charge someone for driving under the influence before they kill your son/daughter/husband/mother/father?
ReplyDeleteI think you are just bitter about one to many speeding tickets. If cops didn't give out speeding tickets then more people would speed and more accidents would happen and more deaths would result. That's the truth..accept it..and slow down
Can you people be more uninformed.
ReplyDeleteState and Federal courts operate by a mixture of statutory and common law.
Common law means that the court ruled one way or another on a certain issue. It is also known as the law of precedent
Yeah your right everyone on here is bashing the police...not because we all hate them...but because who gives a flying f*** if someone is going 10 over the speed limit there shouldnt even be speed limits you should be able to go as fast as you want within reason.....you cops are all jerk offs and everyone hates you guys just to let you know in case you dont already know...your profession sucks and EVERYONE hates you all...even your wife hates you....yes im talking to you mr policeman.....if i were a cop id prob turn into a loser just like you....ruining everyones fun
ReplyDeleteYeah GREAT idea guys...people come from all around and spend their money in our county...yeah your right...lets pull them over on their way here, mess up their vacation from the start, do you think they're gunna come back and spend their money after this???
ReplyDeleteSee what you people dont get is:
ReplyDelete1. Its not about speeding, or keeping the citizens of md safe, its about money okay? They could care less if you are safe its about money so they can use that money to take away more of our individual rights, and
2. People dont hate cops because they risk their lives to keep order, its cause of stuff like this, most cops are losers who cares if someone is going 65 mph on 50??? People going 55 in the fast lane is way more dangerous than anyone going 75 in the fast lane
Yay just what i want more cops to harass me and other drivers for doing 65 in a 55 this is not to create safety on the roads it is just a way to create revenue for the state... yes we need cops but they need to be there to solve crimes and respond to emergencies but... damn they use any excuse they can to pull somebody over.. and nowadays they have computers in their cars and they are running your plate whenever they are behind you... they should not have that ability at their fingertips
ReplyDeleteI hope they do catch the speeders. I am sick of aggressive and negligent drivers! Kudos to the police! I'm sure they also catch many a drunk or drugged driver in the process or make drug busts. Also, they can crack down on the idiots who don't wear seatbelts or properly restrain their children in car seats while they are at it too...multi-tasking! This helps saves lives and that is what the police are getting paid to do. If they were just sitting on the side of the road eating donuts you would be complaining about it!
ReplyDeleteWhy does a MD State Highway Pick-up truck near Westover have a Racing Exhaust/Tailpipe and a driver that thinks he could qualify at Watkins Glen?
ReplyDeleteStatistically ..Troopers west of Salisbury are involved in more fatal accidents than any other group that could be analyzed
ReplyDeletethe troopers get to operate computers while driving that require as much attention as a cell phone text...was that the case both times on the Vienna Bridge?...I am sure that wasn't speculated in any report
I'm just amazed that any of you sheeple actually buy this propaganda. Speeding shatters live? oh give it a rest! This is nothing more then random toll collection.
ReplyDeleteThe economy is weak.. the government collects less money in taxes.. So how do they continue to line their own pockets? by taking your money and claiming it's for your own protection.
Please, there is nothing altruistic about speed traps.
Where is all the uproar about the fireman killing someone due to gross negligence? Everyone complains about the police doing their job legally in an emergency vehicle. But when an overzealous fireman in his personal vehicle with a little red light drives down the road in an aggressive manner to an incident where there are plenty of firemen all ready on scene and kills someone, no one says a word. Reckless firemen have caused more problems in their personal cars driving like idiots to incidents where they just stand around and do nothing just so they get credit for responding to a call. The police are criticized day in and day out because they have the uneasy task of policing the community in which they live. So stop criticizing and get out there and improve your community. Follow the laws that are created to protect you and keep you safe. Get your priorities straight people.
ReplyDeleteEmergency, police and fire, workers have a job to do. They do it very well. The people who complain the most are the ones who screw up the most. The best way to avoid the police stopping you is to obey the law, the law that the people elected senators and congressmen to create on their behalf.
the old double standard, they never have enough freedom or enough money.poor f#$%#in U.just do your job, your bein paid more than enough.oh,enless u'd like to take a private sector pay cut!I didnt think so.just get back in the a/c.remember,protect n serve.is it really that hard.uh!
