Salisbury Fire Commissioner Bob Cannon Passed Away This Morning

I want to share, (again) my personal condolences with the Cannon Family. I did speak to John Cannon this morning who informed me his Father passed very peacefully and that he lived a very good life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Family. Bob was an exceptional man.

  3. I know that Mr. Bob Cannon is at this very second enjoying talking with Jesus. I always enjoyed the company of Mr Cannon so I know that together Mr Bob and Jesus are have a great time. My sympathy goes out to the Cannon family for their pain at the this time of separation. But have comfort in the fact that he is celebrating the rewards of his great deeds and all the rest of us share in your grief

  8. Bob, Peggy & Family have been an important part of my life as some of my most highly treasured friends. Always a pleasure to have him stop in to visit with my wife & I---- & for us to visit with he & his family. We had been friends for over 40 years & I have always held the highest respect for him. His morals, values & judgements helped direct my life in times that were needed . I will miss him being a part of our lives for many years to come. RIP My Friend

  11. Many goods were done by this man that were unspoken to anyone. That's the way he was. We could all take a lesson from that.

  13. What a wonderful gentleman Mr. Cannon was. I only came in contact with him when he came to vote. (I am an election worker for both county and city). He always had a smile and kind words to say to us. I was also impressed that, as difficult as it was for him to walk in the last few years, he always came to exercise his right to vote. My sympathy to the Cannon family. He will be missed.
