Four Years Ago Today

While the Eastern Shore mourned two Soldiers killed overseas, Corey Parker & Rick James, these nut jobs came in from Texas to protest their funeral in Seaford.

  6. Actually, they are a rightwing fringe group that is protesting soldier's funerals because they believe gay marriage/gay rights and abortion in this country is why we are mired in war.

How anyone could call a group with signs that say "god hates fags" a leftwing group is beyond me.

  7. Ron They call themselves rightwing but that's a lie they don't even really have a church all they are is a political driven protest group trying to smear real Christians who would never act this way .

  9. i was at the funeral with our club, patriot guard, and other bikers. the funeral was a quite affair. the dummy's were down the road. there was an article in the Daily Times. it read Went to a funeral and a riot broke out. our brothers were in attendance and respect was all around. the dummies were beaten and put back into their van and left. in a hurry of course. we had enough of them and i don't think they will be back. we only hope so.

  10. David, with all due respect you are wrong in many different ways here. First of all, I WAS THERE, right in the middle of it. You already admit you were at the Church, so you couldn't have seen a thing. They didn't get beat up. They were rushed by the police to a van in which bottles were being thrown and the police were protecting them.

So you know, I'm the one that had the title I went to a funeral and a riot broke out, not the daily times.

    Thanks for being there though.

  15. @11:15 AM These "people" are from the Westboro Baptist Church. They have a church. They are right wing, or conservative in perspective.. and there intent IS NOT to smear Christians in any way, as they believe themselves to be the true Christians. Google... use it. Are they also A-holes? Yes, absolutely.

  16. It doesnt matter what they believe-freedom of expression is one of our rights but the very soldiers whose funerals they disrupt are the first line of defense in keeping us free so that idiots like them can spout their garbage. The families of these men and women also have rights and one of those is the right to have a peaceful farewell without protesters.
