  1. Thanks for sharing, Joe. This completely blew my mind. I'm thinking now of all the things I've copied or had copied over the years... scary!

Effective immediately, our company, Atlantic Technology Services will be cleaning & reformating any hard drive for $300.00.

  2. Any copier company will be able to help you with your respective hard drive. Many HDD erase kits are available to keep security tight even during the copiers stay at an office. Like the video said this is not new to the copy industry as they have known of this security breach and there are many inexpensive ways to combat this.
I would just call the authorized dealer in which you purchased you copier, unless it is a Staples style machine, which has less of a chance of having a HDD. Aurthorized dealers and the above poster can give you better piece of mind by putting a new hard drive on your machine and physically handing the old one right back to your hands.

  4. You expect them to do it for free?!? I'm not a computer person but I'm sure it takes more than 5 minutes do that... You can always save the money & let your information out there for God knows who to see.

  5. Your copier company will do it for free. I know this work well, and it really takes 5 minutes at a PC, then come back to pick it up after the computer does all the work. Every other Computer shop in town will do it for $50.
