Unfortunately I would never purchase anything with your name attached to it, sorry. I'm sure others feel the same. Others that you never approved oh i bet there are A LOT too
joe you are the man! we all really appreicate what you are trying to do for the downtown businesses. i dont think you can find a better bunch of people around town than all the people who work here! everyone knows everybody, we all smile and say hi, its just been great down here so far! keep up the great work joe!
Wow, Joe I have never watched one of the taped news segements. Your production, graphics are better then what you see on WBOC and certainly WMDT. Only thing I think you need are some hot looking reporters. The other two stations got you on that.
Nice job, Joe! And I really loved the "Kodachrome" roundup! Downtown is a delicate thing that really needs our TLC, and I agree wholeheartedly with everyone's views on the matter. There is a lot of opportunity and future in the downtown area if it's done correctly. I hold Easton as my model with free street parking allowing soooo much traffic to the stores.
And Adam Roop seems to understand the elements necessary to bring the Downtown area to life.
I'm getting a lot of calls from my ad on your site as Eric and the others are experiencing, and really appreciate the deal! Ads elsewhere cost way too much!
Anyway, nice job promoting Downtown, and let's all work towards getting it more vital!
Sorry for you that you won't have anything to with these people because Joe's name may be "tied" to them. The one thing I got from this show is that these are good people that own small businesses and do the best they can to employ others and try to grow.
Statements like yours only make you look small, very small. It compels me to ask the questions;
Have you asked for customer lists from these fine people or any other business you spend your money with and review as to whom they may know that you don't like before you buy anything?
Do you take the time to do a complete inquisition to the person taking your order at McDonald's to see if they are friends with someone you don't like before you stuff your face with a Big Mac?
If you own a business (which would be frightening if you do) Do you ask all of your customers if they are friends with Joe BEFORE you take their money and put in your pocket?
The Roop comments were quite interesting. Same with the Taylor woman. Impressive and I hope things go well for them They seem to be good people and try hard to be part of the community. I think I'll get my hair cut and play some Rock Band ..... Coolest barber shop ever... Best of luck to all of you.
Ann is right on track. I too am a local business woman owner and I KNOW how difficult it is to run a business. If everyone would at least one time in their life to run their own business, most would fail. The ones who are and have survived deserve a standing ovation as it is NOT Easy to run a business. Thank you Joe for acknowledging small business owners.
Speaking of small business.....EVERY day I have to listen to people telling me that the internet will run my business away and that they can find things "cheaper" online instead of supporting their local business owners! What they dont think about is who do they call when they have a problem with a purchase they made online? Even if I price match something they see online, they will still buy online and forget about the small business owners who have worked long hard years to make a living. Instead they would rather support the BIG corporations!
I see you have the graphics people back on the job. Nice work. I know it takes alot of work for you to look good. (ha ha) Enjoy Joe, nice informative show.
Re: the library.... When we retired 15 years ago, my financial advisor gave me great advise. He said when you think about a purchase, ask yourself, do I need this or want this and then make the decision. I dont think, unless the existing library has fallen into great disrepair since I left, the Salisbury needs a new one. Just my humble opinion, Joe jackkcharl@aol.com
11:21 you are correct, it was on yesterday. Apparently Joe wants to continue to support downtown businesses so he bumped it up to the top again. Watch it again, it's a positive piece, for the most part. Support local businesses downtown, throughout the city and throughout the county. Good message.
The beginning sounds like CBS Breaking News. They certainly did not copy you this time.
OK here is my input, just what you been waiting for!
You said WBOC was pimping their whore advertiser, so I cannot figure why you think you are not doing the same
Granima must love Eric's butt, she sure videoed it a lot.
Gotta give Eric credit to know "agree with the customer 'cause they're always right".
If granson had been there numerous times why didn't you know what a Wii was. I am shocked Gavin does not have a Wii. Joe and Granima buy that boy a Wii!
Agree with you that Library is a want, not a need. Ann certainly talked with a lot of common sense, just what town, county, state and nation needs more of.
Did not listen to all of show as it takes too long to load and will only play a few seconds at a time.
Salisbury downtown is in the same boat as most other downtowns in America. Times changes, life moves on..new generations have new needs. The old mall helped with the downfall of downtown and the Centre at Salisbury was the downfall of the old mall. Eventually something new will come along that will be the downfall of the Centre.
1:13 I didn't video anything for the blog, ever. I didn't even know there was a video until Joe asked me to put it up for him last night while he attended the meeting at the civic center.
I wouldn't worry to much about Joe's grandson, he's got plenty to keep a young boy busy. If you knew him you would know he'd rather be outside digging worms and fishing.
1:31 You could quite possibly be the dumbest person on the face of the earth. In case you didn't get it, that's what the entire segment was about. People like you never fail to meet my expectations.
Was just kidding around about the excessive "butt action" shots Eric (AKA Anon 2:34). No offense intended dude (even though they were in fact excessive).
Unfortunately I would never purchase anything with your name attached to it, sorry. I'm sure others feel the same. Others that you never approved oh i bet there are A LOT too

Granima - wasn't this on yesterday? You gone senile or somthum?
ReplyDeleteMr. Richards:
ReplyDeleteHow about calling Ricky Pollitt and persuading him to "just say no" to the proposal to build a new library, regardless of the location.
So Joe, did you PAY for the haircut? So Eric, it costs you $100 a month to have your ad plus two free haircuts a month.

ReplyDeletehe says "we're gonna take a break" and it cuts to a bunch of ads from the local businesses
jesus, it's not like this is streaming live, there's no need for psuedo commercials

Since he isnt here Ill over step and say it for him. Dont like it get your own damn blogg and your own advertisers, or shut the heck up.
ReplyDeleteStop complaining about the butt shot. If it was a women you pervs would be drooling.
ReplyDeleteOh and 7:27 aka Jennifer Foxwell. Go tend to something other than this blog.
Was just kidding around about the excessive "butt action" shots Eric (AKA Anon 2:34). No offense intended dude (even though they were in fact excessive).
ReplyDeleteGreat job on promoting the downtown. Your newscast always charges up my day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for honoring the downtown businesses. Nice Hair Cut too!!!
