The Salisbury Festival Craft Beer Tasting Event

Hi Joe,

I just wanted to let you and your readers know about a new event this year at The Salisbury Festival. They have added a Craft Beer Tasting event that will take place on Sunday April 25th from 12:30pm - 5pm. It will be at the River Walk Park across from the Holiday Inn in downtown Salisbury.

The event will be featuring 20 breweries from around the world and tasting more then 40 different styles of craft beer. Tickets are $30 and include unlimited tastings of all the beers. Some breweries will have representatives available to answer any questions about the beer that you might have.

There will be Live music by Wes Davis from 12:30-1:45 and NO BYSCUYTS from 2pm - 5pm. Also Black Diamond Catering will be offering food throughout the event. You can get tickets at The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, Sobo's Wine Beerstro, Specific Gravity , and Evolution Craft Brewing Co. in Delmar.

If anyone has any questions they can call Jeff at 410-219-1117.

Thanks again for all the great work you do for our community. And if your in the area please stop by and say hi.

  1. I stopped going to the Salisbury Festival about 7 years ago. With all the "thugs" and criminals and rude and disorderly people that attend and occupy this event, it is not a pleasent activity to attend. Now with this genius decision to have beer tasting at this event will now add more unpleasentness to an already horrible event. Good Luck watch your wallets and your backs.

  2. As I understand and respect your concerns, please keep in mind that this part of the festival will be in a fenced in area and will have security posted at all entrances. As the rest of the festival is free of charge this event does require a ticket to be purchased for $30.00. I do believe that not to many "thugs" are going to pay to get in as they would have to work twice as hard to recoup their money. Also this is not a lets get drunk free for all but a chance for fans of craft beer to become educated in different beers from around the world and to try rare and unique craft beers that they might not be able to get anywhere else.

  3. Look, Salisbury is a pretty suck town with very little character or charm, but I applaud the residents' efforts to improve the city's plight. With that said, $30 all you can drink craft beers? I'm soooooo there dude.

  4. 11:15 come back out. I think you will find that the festival has improved in the areas you mention. This craft beer event is unlikely to attract any bad elements.

  6. This event along with many others sponsored or run by Salisbury, I and many others haven't had good experiences. I would never bring my children/grandchildren to this event it is not family friendly. Now with this beer tasting event I definitely won't attend, but I wouldn't attend anyway.

  8. Looks like another good thing the Knorrs are bringing to Salisbury to move the town forward. First, Sobos, which we love, then Specific Gravity and now a beer festival to celebrate the beer that hopefully they will bring back to Maryland. Way to go boys.
