Kenyan Official: Obama Born Here

A Kenyan lawmaker told the nation's parliament last month that Barack Obama was born in Africa and is therefore "not even a native American."

During debate over the draft of a new Kenyan constitution, James Orengo, the country's minister of lands and a member of parliament for the Ugenya constituency, cited America's election of a Kenyan-born president as an example of what can be accomplished when diverse peoples unite:

"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation," Orengo posited, "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"

Orengo held up the U.S. as a country no longer "living in the past," since Americans elected a Kenyan-born president without regard to "ethnic consideration and objectives."

Debate is then recorded in the Kenyan government's official March 25, 2010, hansard – a traditional name for printed transcripts of a parliamentary debate – as continuing with no other MPs mentioning or attempting to correct Orengo's comments about Obama.

  1. I have always said, "If the Kenyan Parliament says its so, then it must be." Glad to see we are letting them make decisions for us now.

  2. If the Kenyan official is correct, this is a very serious matter. Not only will the Costitution have been violated, but President Obama has committed fraud.

Would the remarks of the Kenyan official, at the very minimum require an investigation by the FBI or the State Dept.?

It seems to many Americans that President Obama's origin of birth needs to be settled once and for all.

  4. Well if Kenyan lawmaker says it, then it's the truth.
Maybe we can ask for a Kenyan birth certificate?
Right wingnuts just don't know what to do with themselves.
Instead of bashing Obama maybe republicans should start looking for 2012 candidate instead, or is that too productive.
Oh what am I saying, they already have Sarah Palin. Please run her. At least we will get another 4 years of normal government.

  5. and we continue to accept him as our president because: Choose one -

    1. we are ignorant
    2. we are lazy
    3. we are stupid
    4. we don't care
    5. "O" is such a great president we don't want to rock the boat.
    6. we can't imagine our country without "O's" leadership.
    7. we love to go against our constitution.
    8. we're curious to see how bad this arrogant; empty headed; empty suit; non-citizen can make this country.

  6. TO 9:52 your right-so under your theory-just because Obama says so, we're supposed to all fall in line and agree. NOT! I don't think anybody is letting the Kenyan Parliament make our decisions. What it does say, though, is that the issue of the Presidents eligibility is still in doubt, and will always be until he clears it up himself with the simple act of producing a birth certificate. But he won't, so why is that??? Personally, I don't care- but you have to wonder why this simple act of producing a certificate isn't done. Whats to hide?

  7. When will our nation FINALLY get to see some PROOF one way or the other. This question should have been solved years ago.

  8. 11:43--your idea of "normal government" is downright frightening, or are you anticipating receiving 'everything' for nothing as the expense of those that do work and try their best to feed, clothe, and keep a roof over the heads of their family??

  9. 12:33--
    he/she isnt anticipating!
he/she is already receiving our hard earned $ and wants that to continue that.
the other da's that are waiting are growing tired of no free stuff and jumping on the right (swidt) bandwagon.
Don't worry 11:43, nobama will have his hands tied or he will be puppetized long before 2012, all he has to do is keep up the good work! I honestly hope he does keep it up because the more he does the more it will backfire and gain momentum for us right (swidt again) citizens.

this is stressing me out, im gonna go have a newport!

  10. No my idea of normal government is for one being able to go overseas and not be emabarassed by my President.
My idea of normal government is of one under which health care is basic human right regardless of income, skin color, or socio-economic status. If I have to pay more taxes so that you or someone less fortunate can get the life-saving surgery, then I am ok with it. I guess I am just being a non-christian socialist.

  11. So are the wacko birthers illiterate or just detached from reality? The State Dept. confirmed Obama's citizenry. But I guess since you cannot accurately articulate why Obama's policies are bad and why your ideas are so good, you'll simply continue to scream about this while the rest of the world continues to turn.

  12. Obama is a weak leader and the world sees this. The American people are increasingly embarrassed by his inexperience and radical stance. Those of you that think health care is a right Your a loser and a free loader and ignorant to socialized medicine ! Americans used to have dignity . If you think the current health care is only limited too the fortunate go to Canada their system is a caste system it's who you know and where your at on the food chain that determines when the doctor will see you !

  13. 2:56 your idea of government is a cowbow from Conn. who talks with a Tex. accent, can't put two words together, has a drinking problem and likes to bomb innocent people.

  15. 8:44 I don't recall seeing that "cowboy" bow down to anyone... Pull the wool off your eyes so you can see where the country is headed.
