Support the Snyder Legal Defense Fund

Westboro Baptist Church protesters On March 3, 2006 Lance Corporal Matthew Snyder was killed in Iraq while serving his country.  When he was returned home for burial members of the “Westboro Baptist Church” protested at the burial.  NOTE the URL for this supposed “church” – www.GodHatesFags.com

Al Snyder, Lance Corporal Snyder’s father, sued these despicable human beings.  He has now been ordered to pay their attorney’s fees while also attempting to carry his fight to the US Supreme Court.

I’m as strong a supporter of free speech as the next guy.  Ditto with our right to worship as we (as individuals) see fit.  However, can you imagine burying a loved one while these people were picketing?  I can almost sympathize with an atheist after seeing these claimants to Christianity at work.

Al Snyder needs our prayers, and our support.  Help him out any way that you can.  He has been ordered to pay $16,500 to the attorneys of this scum.  You can help by visiting here:  www.MatthewSnyder.org

  3. 6:30, you are so quick to bash. Are you sure this is not standard court practice. It may or may not be, but something tells me you pop off with the mouth before even understanding the issue.

With that said, every family has a few shall we say, unsavory characters that really come in handy in these types of situations.

  5. I wish American working class families would finally come to realize these endless illegal wars are not in our best interest.

If this Country were really concerned about our safety from foreign terrorists, we would close our borders.

    Wake up folks.

While we are at it, we should try educating one another - instead of harrassing families at funerals. That is dispicable.

  6. Bill O'Reilly announced last night on his show (3/30/10) that he will pay the $16,000. Be careful about contributing to this until further info. is provided.

  7. 7:55, close our borders? Don't you realize that our continued advancement over the last 20 years has been largely based on an influx of intellect and ingenuity from foreigners who come here to study and start businesses?
