Looking for a simple, outdoor project this spring that includes the whole family?
Build a rain garden.
The Worcester County Development, Review and Permitting Department invites area residents to attend one of six upcoming rain garden sessions to learn how rain gardens work, how to build one and how their own garden can help clean up the bays. Participants will receive a free rain garden design manual, Rain Gardens Across Maryland.
The sessions are free, and are as follows:
• April 6 -Ocean Pines Library from 3:00-4:30 p.m.
• April 13 -Snow Hill Library from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
• April 20 -Ocean Pines Library from 10:30 a.m. –12:00 p.m.
• April 22 -Delmarva Discovery Center in Pocomoke from 11:00 a.m. –12:30 p.m.
• April 27 -St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Berlin, MD from 2:30-4:00 p.m.
• April 29 -Stevenson United Methodist Church in Berlin from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
