One of them is the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the other is Brian Brushmiller.
Brian states he wants to open a kids theater and UMES wants to open a restaurant.
Because Comegys, Smith and Shields will once again PROVE they couldn't care less about those dedicated business owners like Rob Mulford and so many others, they'll more than likely accept the UMES offer claiming it will bring economic & development to the Downtown area.
GOVERNMENT should NOT be in the business of manufacturing special interest businesses like this.
Keep the building for, one, historical purposes. I purchased the old Station 7 Building in Pittsville and that Fire Department has regretted ever selling that building, so will Salisbury.
The building could be used for so many purposes that include the City of Salisbury.
Ireton believes that if the Government is willing to give or loan, we should take advantage of it. Not only do I disagree with Ireton, I believe Ireton should be more responsible with taxpayers assets.
If you are at all interested in the proposals, show up at the govt. office building 9:30 on the 15th. I feel the front is the U.M.E.S. proposal. What are they going to do with the other piece of land next to the bridge? At least Brushmiller's proposal states the 3 phase whole project. Lets see what happens. Come out to support the right choice...
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the Fire Department what is the status of the Fire Chief's appointment?
ReplyDeleteThe old fire station should stay a fire station. The clowns that give that fire station away is giving Salisbury's history away and they should be voted out of office.
ReplyDeleteThe city should run an ambulance and maybe a fire truck out of that station.
