The weather chart thing cracked me up. Glad you touched base about the evidence destruction story. Thought it was stupid any way. I can't even begin to imagine how much stuff is being held that hasn't been destroyed that is costing us money to store. That would be the real story. How much is it costing taxpayers to store old evidence that could have been destroyed a long time ago? That's the question that should be asked.
I haven't been following the Toyota crap very closely, but you mean to tell me not one person thought to shift into neutral? I was under the impression even when downshifting or going into neutral the vehicles still would not stop. That is common sense, if a person doesn't know to do that in order to slow a vehicle, they should not own a vehicle because they should not be permitted to have a license! That is just plain stupid!
Someone made the claim they threw it into reverse and nothing happened. Excuse me but if you throw ANY transmission into reverse at highway speed your transmission would be lying in the middle of the highway.
This is ALL a set up by our trustworthy, (NOT) government. They're trying to boost GM and Chrysler sales and that's all there is to it. Toyota pissed off the President over TWO things. One is, they refuse to allow Union Employees and in fact closed down their one and only Union Plant. That pissed Obama off in a big way.
The second is, now they're offering a 60 MONTH 0% INTEREST RATES on the majority of vehicles they sell.
Toyota has out smarted the United States Government and they're pissed.
Personally I wouldn't own anything other than a Chevy or Dodge, but to each their own. The recalls on all vehicles are either ignored by the MSM or completely blown out of context so it is no surprise this has become what it has.
I had a Ford that was part of recall, however I was never notified of the recall. I could have killed my family if I wouldn't have been absent minded that day and had to run back home before getting on the highway. The entire K frame fell, which means the entire motor, transmission, and steering column fell. The kicker to that whole situation was Ford refused to honor the recall because my husband and I had already taken the defective parts off before a parts dealer informed us of the recall!
Every single auto manufacturer has issues at some point in time, but when an automaker denies there is a problem until X amount of people have been injured or killed, there is a serious negligence issue.
to albero all new vehicles have a reverse safety to prevent catastrophic failure to the transmission this was proven on mythbusters on another note the car when thrown into reverse will simply coast to a stop so no reason why these drivers could not of had did that to stop there vehicles its just idiots trying to get paid
They had the 911 tape of a person that's car was speeding up. The operator asked them. "Have you tired putting it into Neutral"? The drivers said Im trying to control the car..... HELLO put it in neutral and it will be controlled.
The MSM have been infecting our decisions for years. It's all about the $$$$. Your entire program , Toyota , Times , Police shows us that these have suffered from the MSM. (all BS). We have 50% of the public that believe this crap , the proof is in the pudding , obama was elected. (disaster)
Joe,
ReplyDeleteYou're joking right? Maybe there has only been one incident with a Prius, but there has been NUMBEROUS incidents with other Toyota's/Lexus'.

ReplyDeleteNeutral??!? How about turning off the ignition switch?? NO ONE in the MSM has even suggested that turning off the car would be an option.
ReplyDeleteIf my vehicle did anything even close to what they are reporting these Toyotas are allegedly doing, I'd switch it off in a heartbeat!
