Sharptown Fire Department Lifetime Member, Firefighter and Wicomico Fire Police Member Charlie Richardson passed away Friday Evening. Charlie’s viewing will be at Frampton’s Funeral Home in Federalsburg – Tues (3-9-2010) 6PM-8PM and Weds (3-10-2010) 1PM-2PM, Funeral services will follow with Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg.

SHARPTOWN -- Charles W. "Charlie" Richardson Jr. of Sharptown passed away Friday, March 5, 2010, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was 65.
ReplyDeleteHe was born March 25, 1944, in Cambridge, a son of Lula Mae Marine Richardson of Salisbury and the late Charles W. Richardson Sr.
His wife, Virgie T. Richardson, preceded him in death on June 6, 2005.
He was a graduate of North Dorchester High School, Class of 1963. He retired as an electrician from E.I. du Pont in Seaford. Charlie was a former Wicomico fire deputy and was a member of the Sharptown Volunteer Fire Company for 35 years, serving on numerous committees and working at the carnival in bingo and selling car chances. He enjoyed going to auction sales and camping with his family.
He is survived by a daughter, Debbie A. Wheedleton of Galestown; a son, C.W. Richardson III of Sharptown; two grandchildren, Kelly Bright of Salisbury and Eddie Wheedlteton of Galestown; two great-grandchildren, Destiny Bright and Jonathan Wheedleton; two brothers, Jerry Richardson of Sharptown and Larry Richardson of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews; and three brothers-in-law, whom he considered as brothers, Frank Marine of East New Market, Russell Marine of Reliance and Marty Reddington of Dagsboro.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, with the Rev. James Penuel officiating. A firemen's memorial service will be held at 1:45 p.m. just prior to the service. Interment will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m.
