  1. I stopped by to pick up a menu. Inside they have booths and tables. Lots of room. The menu selection is good.

    Good luck!

  3. I tried it yesterday, but I still think Hunan Palace in Fruitland is the best around

  7. This place is going to be awesome. the sushi chef from Hunan will be there. From what i understand, the place looks fantastic inside. i'll let you know tomorrow how the food is - i'm going there for lunch!

I've always been happy with the food at Hunan. I don't believe i've ever had anything from there i didn't like. The service, however, isn't always up to par. My favorite waiter from there is actualy the guy who is opening Lucky Star. Can't wait!

  8. Had takeout there last night. It was ok but not great food like I normally get at Hunan Palace. Hopefully it is just the fact of new opening. I will try them a couple more times before passing judgement. I agree with 1016 that Hunan service leaves a lot to be desired and you also need to study your bill carefully as they sometimes add the gratuity on the bill for parties as small as 2.

  10. One more chinese/Jap Restaurant, that makes over 15 in our town. Imperial Gallery is still the best and in business nearly thirty years.

  11. imperial gallery is not the best simply because of longevity. the atmosphere sucks. i don't know how they stay open - there's never anyone in there the few times i've gone there. perhaps its a cover for something else?

i don't know who else remembers Diamond Head restaurant? it used to be in the (now only a memory) Allenwood Shopping Center. Man! that's been years ago. i remember going there as a young girl with my mom & grandmother... oh the memories!

Meanwhile i went to Lucky Star today... very nice place and the food was great. interior is very tastefully done & not gaudy, as some chinese/japenese restaurants can be. will definately be going back! I scanned their menu & sent it to Joe today along with a picture of our sushi party platter - hope he shares it with you guys :)

  12. Imperial Gallery is by far the best in town, hands down. Excellent food and good prices. Thirty years speaks for itself. By the way, Imperial Gallery owners used to own Diamond Head.

  13. my friends and I got sick last time we got sushi from hunan palace. I can't trust them anymore.

I love Shogun. The inside is not pretty, but the food is good, healthy, and cheap. Eaten there at LEAST 25 times in the past year and never gotten sick.
