Date of Incident: 8 February 2010
Location: 5000 block of Eastwood Circle, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 8 February 2010 at 6:25 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported vehicle stuck in the roadway in the 5000 block of Eastwood Circle. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a female subject stuck in a mini-van on the ice. Upon approaching the minivan, a subject, Jarmon Jones later determined to be the husband of the woman exited a residence and began yelling belligerently towards the deputy. During the exchange, Jones continued to move in a menacing manner towards the deputy who placed himself into a defensive posture. Jones continued his tirade and struck the deputy in the arm. The deputy then attempted to place Jones under arrest for an assault, but he tried to run away. Due to the snow and ice in the ground, Jones was unable to easily run so the deputy managed to catch him and take him into custody.

The deputy transported Jones to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Jones on Personal Recognizance.

  2. That's great. Assault a deputy who is helping this idiots wife! Oh let me guess, it's the black, white racial thing with police so lets just assault him because based on the name, he is black, has a chip on his shoulder and just hates police. So he assaults him. That's the problem with society, disrespect, ignorance and the belief they can do anything. If I was that cop with a gun I would just SHOOT!
