Wicomico County Schools Closed Tomorrow

CANCELLATIONS/POSTPONEMENTS FOR WICOMICO SCHOOLS DUE TO WINTER WEATHER; SCHOOLS CLOSED WEDNESDAY, FEB. 10
Follks, even though their Website states at the top,
"All Schools are operating on a regular schedule"
School is closed tomorrow.

  1. Just got off the phone with my sister in Frederick County. It's already snowing there and they have closed the schools for the rest of the week. They are already off scool next Monday for a holiday.

  2. Just close schools here for the week and be done with it here in Wicomico. We all know that there is no way they will open this week. Several districts in DE have already closed for the week.

  8. Do cafeteria workers, instructional assistants etc get paid when schools are closed because of snow???

    But 260 day employees must report, oh that's right they have a 2 hr delay. Guess it's alright for them to risk their lives....

    Good question. I wonder if the employees from the City of Salisbury, Wicomico county and State of Maryland are getting paid. I know my husband is off tomorrow due to weather and he will NOT be getting paid for it.

  11. Generally people on salary get paid, people paid on hourly wages do no get paid.

  12. 260 days employees got 2 hour delay, then they get notified 30 minutes prior to time to go in, that buildings are closed. I say, use your own head-I don't need someone telling me 2 hours late and I'll be safe, we're adults. It's not worth the risk to body or vehicle.
