Toyota Recalling 270,000 Priuses In U.S., Japan


Problems have been reported with popular hybrid car’s braking system

WASHINGTON
- In the latest in a string of recalls, Toyota announced it would recall 270,000 of the popular hybrid car Prius in the U.S. and Japan, the Nikkei News Service reported.

The Transportation Department had opened an investigation Thursday into brake problems in the 2010 Prius, the latest in a series of safety troubles at Toyota that have confused drivers and strained the Japanese automaker's relationship with U.S. regulators.

The recall will target the third-generation Prius launhed in May, Nikkei reported.

  1. I can't see any reason to go anywhere else for news. Joe, you have over 200 articles already up for the month of February and I just can't see why I should buy a newspaper any more. I told my husband the other day you were the only one who had the snow forcast accurate the last two times. Thank you for all that you do.

    For many years NHTSA has been looking the other way toward the foreign makes while persecuting domestics.

  3. 4:25, the tables will have turned when and if the criminal thugs of the filthy UAW find another industry to corrupt. Toyota is now, and will remain the worlds greatest auto manufacturer. The current smokescreen by the media and the government to convince the publc of comparable quality between Japanese and UAW crap will fail because of FACTS! I will now park my Lexus in the garage, and take my Landcruiser out to have some snow fun.
