  1. Joe , Your show is the hottest thing North of the Equator . WBOC comes on at 5:58 and soon as you posted your show I turned them off. Thanks

  2. Great show (as always). I agree, if the City of Salisbury can pay Webster (anything as long as he's out), this current problem is nothing compared to what Webster's being paid.

Never thought about it before until hearing you say it. The idea of having a place to "dump" for motorhomes if the parking lot becomes a reality. Gotta admit, you did make me smile. Go back and listen to that certain area. You managed to say "do do" while talking about IT without meaning it that way.

Thanks, it's always better than the local do do!

  4. There is something I forgot to mention in tonights show.

I was going to say, let me ask you this question, (toi those people who support the purchase) would YOU pay that kind of money for that property and then lease it back to the County?

The answer is, absolutely not. Even IF you got a 10 year lease agreement, it would never secure the cost of purchasing that land at such an inflated price.

Again, think about that for a minute. At that price its putting good money after bad money. We'll touch on that some more next week when we interview Count6y Executive Rick Pollitt.

  6. Excellent points Joe. I'm rethinking my decision on the parking lot. Yesterday I voted yes but I think your right. For the cost its just too much money per acre.

  7. Fruitland leaders must be snoozing. How can they hold a Press Conference without Salisbury News? All WBOC had was a small segment about how much salt was used this week. More will be used next week. Was that the big story?

  9. I watched what I wanted to see on the local news and then came here. I'm glad you're not competing with WMDT or WBOC. I actually think yours is better Joe. I can come here at any time and watch your broadcast. If I miss the 6 pm news elsewhere I cannot see what happened. You've got my support. Do you think you'll ever sell commercials on this show.

  10. anonymous 6:39, we'll see in time. To be completely honest, I doubt it. I think commercials on TV are just as bad as pop up ads on Websites.

anonymous 6:35, its their loss. We published the Press Conference the other day but we were never invited. If that's how they want to play ball, that's OK with us. We broke the news before anyone else. Heck, we had ALL of the information on this bust several hours before they even went out. We once again respectfully held off on putting out anything in fear one or more Officers could be hurt in the process.

I can't tell you how many times we've had stories days ahead of everyone else and were assured we'd be the FIRST to be told we could release it and the next thing we know we see it elsewhere.

Let's put it this way. If it keeps up like this, we'll simply break the news when we get it and let everyone else deal with what's been exposed after the fact. I have been extremely fair and have honored my word. It's time we receive the same respect.

  13. What cracks me up the most is that you're one man that delivers more news than the entire main stream media combined. You have a nicer studio then all of them and your internet news is real time. I really think more people depend on you then you realize Joe.

  14. Joe its absolutely to much money per acre,I live down at the end of Deal Island so there is water all around me and I still wouldnt pay that much for waterfront and especialy for just land only its just not worth it to me.Now I have always thought that it would be nice if the civic center was on the lot that the old mall was on and that they would build a much bigger and better building and they could tear the old civic center down and thats where the parking would be at.I'll use the monster truck event for an example, the trucks would have alot more room for thier track inside so they could get them up to full speed going around a big circled course before jumping the cars, bringing many more people and possibly more racers its the same senario on many other places that invite the trucks to put on a show.Thats one idea that i have always thought about since I was a kid, another idea is or a question is what about a parking garage where the exsisting parking lot is,I mean look at Ocean City, the only direction that most buildings have available for thier parking is UP,ofcourse I dont have any idea of how much it would cost to build one but I believe that its considerable, what do you think about it,I know that my first idea would be much more exspensive than purchasing the lot that the old mall was on.

  15. Did you know the Greater Salisbury Committee supports this buying of the 300,000 per acre parking lot. I need to consider my support of this now. "Good old boys club" made up of our business community , all have no sense. Would they do this if it was coming out of their pockets?

  18. The issue of pump-out for the motor homes: When we camp at the DE State Fairgrounds during the Hot Rod Jamboree, the car club putting on the event contracts with a local sewage pumper guy. You pay $40, put a flag by your camper and he pumps out your system. The promoter of the show could contract with a local sewage pumping service, then vendors and whoever brings a camper/motorhome can pay for their pump-out. Promotes local business and the county does not have to build a dump station only to be used for a few events a year. BTW, I e-mailed the county council as requested by Gail Bartkovich and recieved a reply from Matt Creamer that my e-mail would be forwared to council members.

  19. request a concerned citizens appraisal.remember,it consequentally effects the tax base of all the surrounding land.seems kinda unfair.cut back on govt spending,n give property tax payers some relief.tax leveraging peoples assets is WRONG!the state money should be enough to cover purchase price.

  20. The fact that a suspended cop is being payed, is due to a state law. The Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights. The Dept has no choice.
