Salisbury Police Department Press Releases



On February 2, 2010 at approximately 7:14 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Sav-a-lot Food Store on Cypress Street for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store employees who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed taking meat from the store without making payment. The suspect was located behind the building and the property was recovered. A routine records check of the suspect revealed that he was currently wanted on a parole retake warrant from the Department of Corrections.

ARRESTED: Brian Smalls Wallace, 43 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)
Maryland Department of Corrections Parole
Retake Warrant
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On February 2, 2010 at approximately 7:14 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of Baker Street and observed the below listed suspect walking on the six hundred (600) block of Baker Street in possession of a sword. The suspect was stopped and revealed that he had obtained the sword due to an argument with a neighbor. The suspect advised that he wished to scare the neighbor with the sword which was approximately three (3) feet in length
.
ARRESTED: Jimmy Jeremaine Allen, 32 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Wearing and carrying a dangerous and
deadly weapon
Reckless endangerment
DISPOSITIONS: Released to Central Booking

  3. Since he stated he was doing it in order to "scare" or otherwise assault another person. That's the line he crossed. One can carry open as long as it's just for the purpose of carrying it from point B to point A. (or the other way around)
