As of last evening, Rockawalking Road was still not open to Rt. 50.

  2. Have you been down there to see how much snow there was? If not, you should find out first. Because people are too stupid to realize when they shouldn't drive down in a car, sometimes a sign is needed as a deterent.

  3. 2:44 OK. It has been over a week and this road is important to thousands of Wicomico residents. Do we ask for it to be cleared or do we wait for Spring?

  4. the snow from the drifts is piled up over 10 feet high in places, that had to bring in a small cat with a crane and a big bucket on it just to be able to move the snow out of the way! 4x4 only on that road! mother nature sure has a sense of humor!

  5. Just came by Rockawalkin and Route 50. Still not open. What the crap is this all about?

  6. You can get through. The road is still pretty rough from the thick ice that developed as a result of the snow pack. The signs were probably to discourage thru traffic. There are other ways around. Why would they have left such a big space in between the drums if they didn't expect people to go through?

  7. 5:42, evidentally roads aren't that important. Our roads department is essentially broke with no plans for any funding. What will you do when lots of roads end up closed simply because there will be no one and no money to fix them? Also, how do you figure it has been over a week? The storm ended on Thursday, today is Sunday. Can you say fuzzy math?

  8. That road has been repeatedly plowed. The problem is the open field at Rockawalking and Rt. 50. Snow is being constantly blown from the field onto the road causing some pretty nice drifts. Unless you can find a way to either melt the snow on the field, or calm the wind blowing across it, portions of Rockawalking will remain snow covered.
