Price Salutes The Mount Vernon Statement

Washington, Feb 17 - Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-GA) today hailed the signing of the Mount Vernon Statement.

“The conservative principles of individual liberty and limited government embraced at America’s founding are the true source of our nation’s strength,” said Chairman Price. “While we constantly seek to improve the implementation of these principles, the past year has shown that change solely for its own sake can have consequences utterly out of step with American values. The Mount Vernon Statement reminds us that the change we really need is a renewed empowerment of self-governance and a turn away from unbridled government expansion.
