Joe,
I have a few people that I know go into the Delmar laundry mat on the Delaware side...the one next to the church on bi state. And they are starting to notice that something is just not right. When they used to do there laundry there they would get more water in there washers to clean there clothes. Now you cant even see the water and some of them are still dry when you pull them out of the washer!! If you could maybe see if anyone has had these problems as well and see if there is anything we can do to get this fixed right. They say that there is man there that goes in and it looks like he is fixing the washers but I think they are charging the customers and not giving them what they are supposed to. It is crazy how do you put laundry in a washer and then have it come out and it is still dry or still very dirty!! I have heard to much and it is time to do something so us good Delmar people stop getting ripped off!!! Can you help us!!!
Not the laundromats fault, the town of Delmar is down to 1 water pump instead of 2 or 3. Pressure would be extremely low.
ReplyDeleteTHE CLOTHES COME OUT FINE IF YOU GO TO THE OTHER LAUNDRY MAT IN TOWN!!
ReplyDeletei think they are fine...no one has really said anything about the dryers..i have seen the owners and well lets just say they are not from here
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are a new combo machine.
ReplyDelete8:59, the pump(s) do not make the pressure. Gravity does. The pumps only pump water into the elevated tank.
ReplyDelete8:59
ReplyDeleteWhat would pressure have to do with it? On every washer I have ever owned or used pressure was never an issue. The washer keeps running the water until it reaches a fill line. The pressure would only determine how fast or slow it fills.
In response to 8:59, water pressure has nothing to do with the water level in a washing machine. Even atrickle will fill the machine to the level either set by the owner of the machine. once that level is reached then, and only then, does the machine start the cycle. All home machines have that option even if it is only low, med and high. Unless it is one of the newer coputer controlled ones.
ReplyDeleteoh while your at it, the Air pump thing at the local gas station keeps breaking, can you fix this too joe?
ReplyDeleteSolve the problem -- go to the other laundry mat. Either they will fix it or go out of business.
ReplyDeleteits laundromat, not laundry mat... and the washers work fine. people just overload them. instead of using 2 washers theyll try to save a few dollars and stuff it all in 1 washer. then they complain because their clothes are still dirty.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Laundry Mat, Laundromat, Launder- Mat, Laundermat, gosh, I know there were at least six when I lived in the Fl. keys! I was going to do a picture album on the variations! Anyone out there know of more??
