Big Day In Hits, Big Day In Comments

We have surpassed more than 600 comments for the day, once again. Now that's participation! You have to wonder what the Daily Times is thinking as they don't get those kinds of comments in an entire week. One thing is for sure, Salisbury News has become the place to go when you want to know the real scoop.

That being said, you guys are really keeping me busy, that's for sure. Let's just put it this way. The more you participate, the more our public officials listen. Spread the word.

  1. One quick comment here on the DT... have you been to their web site ... with your pop-up blocker turned off, and none of the 'add removers' turned on.

If so, can you tell me where the news is?

The underlying HTML itself is so poorly coded that I can not validate it as valid HTML, nor that it is properly accessible.

The only way I have found to comment anymore is to use internet explorer in the most unsafe mode... otherwise, all the comments are invisible.

Why would anyone use it -- given how awful the ads, and all the non standard components that break most web browsers.

  2. Joe, you are providing a valuable news source. Most of us really, really appreciate the fact that you are able to provide up to date info and a forum for opinions. Thank you for this, and all the shoveling and snow blowing you did during the past 2 storms. slf

  3. Gannett uses a very cheap and stock website configuration for all the "major" publications they have. The quality output is directly proportional to the quality input as far as the website is concerned. Crap all around.
