Are Rick Pollitt's Priorties In Line?
On Tuesday, February 2nd, the Wicomico County Council held a public hearing complete with Rick Pollitt's fancy power point slide show selling us on buying the very expensive proposal to purchase the "old mall" parking lot for $300,000/acre for the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center at an initial cost of 1.5 million dollars from "free" state money. As usual, Rick was strangely absent from the meeting and was absent during the public comments previously posted here. It seems he is so concerned about what the public input is regarding the decision he decided to go visit his pal in Annapolis and be a VIP for Gov. O'Malley's State of the State address.
So, Pollitt attends the State of the State Address rather than being at a public hearing on spending $1,500,000 dollars on a new parking lot in Wicomico County?
Really?
Come to think of it, I think I've seen him attend two council meetings in this last year and one was for his budget where he sat in the back of the room and the other he had to cut out early for lunch.
Did anyone else notice this Public hearing didn't re-air on PAC-14 as scheduled, on Wednesday night?
Be careful.... Pollitt is Joe's man
ReplyDeleteOf course he attended the State of the State address by O'Malley and was a VIP. He's the County Executive of Wicomico County. All of the County Execs. were VIP's. This 'story' is stupid.
ReplyDeleteanon 10:39
ReplyDeleteThe point is he is trying to spend tax payer money and did not care enough to hear their concerns.
Is that leadership?
Does he really care about constituents concerns?
Looks like he has his mind made up and doesnt care what any one says. Just another out of touch entitled politician!
Pollitt is never around to listen to the people of Wicomico county, who is supposed to serve. Instead he's yucking it up with the politicians patting each other on the back. I wonder if he brought his spokes person.
ReplyDelete10:39, consider the source.
ReplyDeleteMUST.... DEFEND.... POLLITT
ReplyDeleteThis is HIS PROPOSAL!! He should of at least been there to present it.

ReplyDeleteDid all the state governors go to DC to hear Barack's "state of the union" BS?
Again, what's his cut, what is he getting out of this sale? Speak up Rick, your people have questions.
ReplyDeleteI think this was an important enough issue that he should have been there. He could have easily explained his absence to the Governor.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I think unsubstantiated allegations like 1:57 made are absurd and uncalled for.
Pollitt has never done anything to warrant questioning his honesty.
You diminish your arguments and also your crediblity with that kind of muck raking.
