  2. Yes it is. You might want to check to see if it was a departmental vehicle.

  3. Guess that part of the good ole boy network didn't get the memo not to let this out.
    Interesting!
    Wonder if he's still employed.

  4. How many people can have that same name?

  5. It is the same guy , he left the scene to avoid a DUI charge.

  6. Yes and I bet he was drunk. Why else would a cop leave the scene. I'm sure he would not have gotten a ticket for just hitting a pole if he had stayed.

  7. wonder if it was his personal car or the police car?

  8. and I hear it is not the first time this has happened. It was swept up big time the first time.

  9. Ron is a good officer and a nice person. Wait to see how this plays out before the judges come out to execute, ok.

What ever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"??? We, the citizens of Salisbury, are so negative and condescending and we wonder why we have a bad reputation. H E L L O !!!!

  11. I wonder where some of these coments come from. Which one of you judges have your law degree?

  12. 7:49 I love Joe to death but YOU know where the info comes from! If it weren't for he and Mike's tight connections, we wouldn't have known the news on the Foxwell case as fast as we did. That's why Salisbury News is everyone's favorite news source :)

  13. 7:49 think about what you are saying AFTER reading the Sheriff's Office's release of this info. You are basically saying the sheriff's office - with Mike Lewis' approval - just went out and falsely charge a FELLOW POLICE OFFICER for the hell of it and we should just "forget about it" because, after all, he does have a right to go to court and prove this is all "just a misunderstanding". Do you honestly think that this information was not passed on to and approved by Sheriff Lewis and Davis Ruark? Put back your Rodney King guitar and stop singing kumbaya because they wouldn't have gone to all that trouble AND RELEASED THE INFORMATION unless he was guilty as hell. You did see the other post didn't you that this was not his first incident? What pathetic school system did you come from?

  15. anonymous 8:03, I don't know where you get the impression I gert such good inside information from Sheriff Lewis. In fact, Mike stays pretty darned quiet about things unless I bring it up to him. In other words, if I say I know this or that about a situation, if it doesn't impede on the investigation he may confirm what I already know. Other than that. Sheriff Mike Lewis has NEVER called Joe Albero to feed me any story, NEVER.

  16. you know, this is rediculous. I know Ron and his abilities as a Police Officer. He has done so much for this community that you ALL will NEVER know about. He's a an extremely hard worker and has saved this community from vermin and this first thing you want to do is bastardize him. You want, want & want and then when someone makes a mistake you're gonna crucify him without a trial. Leave the man alone-and if you can't then KMA!

  17. 8:19 you didn't need to say the last sentence to make your excellent points. That being said, we all need to think about the frailties we all have as sinners and human beings and there but for the grace of God go I. We ALL make mistakes and do things wrong. Just because we don't get caught doesn't mean we are better than others.

  18. Obviously this article is being used as a bashing (or testosterone exchange) between Wicomico County Sherriff Department personnel and other law enforcement personnel....play nice boys!!!

  20. This guy has done a great job and has protected and served. More than I can say about MOST of our FOP brothers and sisters. A judge put his suburbun up a pole several years ago and stayed in his seat. Good judge too. Made a mistake. We don't have to go far to see a county person of significance who recently made a mistake too. Good guy. Lot's of service...poor judgement...still in office. We are so quick to beat someone, as long as it is someone else. What is wrong with US? When does this stuff STOP? It is time for this to simply STOP!

  22. If you haven't noticed, I've rejected quite a few comments on here so far. Look, the bashing needs to end and if you won't stop, I'll be glad to continue doing it for you. Waste your time if you like. If the comments don't straighten out I'll just reject them. It's that simple.

  24. Joe. Thank you!!!!!! The blogs can be great news information and an opportunity for our community to come together in a positive way. I'd love to see more of this. I'll give you "hits" every day to see things like that. Can we find something great the kids are doing and comment on that? It would be so refreshing to give this forum a chance to change our city's attitude towards one another. thanks!!!
