Don't have anything to measure this with but the maintenance folks just did my sidewalk for me and the level is even, not drifts. Looks like a lot more than what the news reported! This is in Salisbury, off of old Ocean City Road.
anonymous 12:29, you know what amazes me about that statement. I mean, think about it. They live on Salisbury News and they take our news each and every day. That being said, I wonder why they didn't take our news on the weather. Maybe they thought WE were the ones who were nuts. Who's laughing now.
are the people at weather channel idiots too? For everyone saying local weather forecasters are idiots, I believe you are the idiot. everyone knows these types of storms are hard to predict. Did they say , there is a possibility of more? i dont know. i dont watch the local news often. Everyone here is a complainer. its sickening. Go out and enjoy the snow. Play with your kids or dog, or your knitting needles. Stop thinking about things to complain about. go be a better person.
Does anyone think that Salisbury University will close? They never seem to want to close campus (although they were sure happy to cancel graduation for what, at the time, was a dusting). Anyone know what they're thinking for tomorrow?
who cares about who was right or wrong, all of the weather men or women said it was going to snow and for once they were all right noone honestly ever knows exactly how much everyones gona get cuz every place is different.they try to get it close but sometimes its more of an average amount of snow fall.Point is,its a lucky guess for whoever gets the closest,he or she wins the prize. And the prize is,BRAGGING RIGHTS!!! HA HA HA!
I know that kids have to eat, but do you think they will cancel classes, or make us all come in still? I won't miss class unless it is OFFICIALLY cancelled (not even if they give permission to miss it, but they're still "on")
Has anybody heard of accuweather.com? they said salisbury could get as much as 18 inches. I live not too far from you, Joe, and we have a solid nine inches of snow in my yard.
WMDT called for less than 3"
ReplyDeleteI've got 11" with 2-3' drifts.
ReplyDeleteparsonsburg got 12"
ReplyDeleteNanticoke got 18 "
ReplyDeleteThey said on the News this morning it changed at the last minute and surprise everyone LoL. They were calling for 2-5
