Joe,
Thought I’d pass on to you that the afternoon show has ended at the Civic Center. The snowdrifts are too high for some cars to move. No one has plowed the lot. Don’t know if anyone can help
There were about 1000 people that attended the show. So maybe those that wrote earlier are the “lucky ones” for not attending and loosing their ticket money but at least not getting stuck.
But they wanna spend $1.5 million for the land to spend a few million more to provide more parking space they won't plow.
ReplyDeletemaybe them there little 'ol monster trucks can go pull them cars out of the snow banks.
ReplyDeleteGlen ave leading to the civic center has been plowed.
ReplyDeleteYou can't plow a parking lot filled with cars.
ReplyDeleteDon't know what could have been done I suppose they could have plowed entrance. Problem is you plow the snow into the cars and damage them it is very costly.
To the person who wanted to go to the monster truck show, had tickets that were non refundable. ...you do understand that the Civic Center was probably under contract to them for at least 1 year in advance. They cannot get back their money either. You just have to suck it up! Quit your whining.
ReplyDeletePoor Ol' Big Ed, I heard they had him out there with a shovel tonight!
ReplyDeleteGotta make up for truck in the ditch I guess!! I'm backin' ya Ed!
Go Phat Boyz!
problem is there are alot chiefs at the civic center and alot of indians too. but the indians know all the hiding places. let the chiefs making 60,000 grand plus a year shovel some snow instead of fantasy football all day
ReplyDelete60 Grand??!!! Whoa!!!!! No wonder they have those beautiful BRASS trash cans in the County!! As much as I'd love to expose it, I am sure that there's not too many people making that kind of cash at the "lowly" Civic Center. No way.......
ReplyDeleteQuit your bawling! The only ones this is a problem for is the persons attending. If you find not clearing the parking lot such a problem why don't you go over and start shoveling. I am sure the ones doing the most belly aching would find fault if the county spent money for snow removal at the Civic Center when roads should be priorty.
ReplyDelete9:36 60 grand? don't know where you been for the last couple o years. try again, some in this county are making 100 grand or better a year. plus the car! oh and don't forget the gas! lmao!
ReplyDeleteThe civic center lot was plowed. When it is snowing that hard, you can't keep up. They even had a person on a bobcat and guys shoveling the walkways. I wish people would get their stories straight before posting.
ReplyDeletethose people at the civic center are a bunch of SNOWBALLERS
ReplyDeletefrom what i saw! the parks and rec guys were on it from start to finish, along with the civic center guys too. teamwork is what i say.
